If everything else fails, you could have a look to Google Documents and Google
Sheets, although they are not 100% the same, you could open OpenOffice files
without a problem.
And when you store them on Google Drive you could share them with other users
in a team.

I can too. I clung to AOO for a few years after going from OS2 to Mac. I still
use OO for some stuff but have switched to pages & keynote for new work -
partly because at the time there was no OO option for my iPad.
