Ich würde zum Test vielleicht die neueste Version von OpenOffice
(4.1.14) installieren und schauen ob der Fehler weiter besteht.

Hello, I am encountering unplanned changes in format and font size on text
documents. Font reduces to unreadable small size though font size says 22.
also format reduces to 1/3 width of page. Thank you.

Ist Open Office Version 4.1.9 nicht kompatibel mit Windows 7?
Hallo,
sehr freundlich formuliert. Das klingt wie eine öffentliche Anklage. Da traue
ich mich nicht eine Frage zu stellen.
Tolle Hilfe!

I did not find an answer to my question. I have Open Office 4.1.6 and it loses
my documents. I ask for help and it tells me that it will give me a report, but
it never comes through. What can I do to retrieve the documents and what do you
suggest? Thank you.

Sorry for the typo on version.
I'm supposedly a better tech than that -- I've loaded OpenOffice probably a
hundred times.
This time, nothing worked. It was a fresh install of Windows-7. Restarts
didn't change the result. The error message just said wouldn't run.
NOW ( 2:30 am) it DOES
OpenOffice will not install on Windows-7 (I'm using Home Basic 32-bit) as of
today.
A week ago the same install file (I did a fresh download today as well) worked
fine.

Thank you very much! It is appreciated. I don't think the student knows
much about the program, and when the instructor receives the assignment it
says it's a corrupted file.

Does anyone know how to change the codepage for Windows 7? I need to
change from Latin-1 to UTF-8.
Windows cannot use UTF-8 as a system codepage.
If you need to convert a text file, open it as Encoded Text. It is
IMPORTANT not to just open it, as you will DESTROY most of its contents.
