I guess I didn't realize that I hadn't updated the OpoenOffice application in
far too long, so I downloaded the new version, and I was able to open the
application again and acces my documents. It seems the issue has been
resolved.Thanks for your help, it's greatly appreciated!
If its not underlined, how would you know its a link?

Click Format > Character > Hyperlink
Under Character styles for Visited and Unvisisted,
edit your choice.

Hmm however, if the links are the only thing
underlined in your document, CTL + A to select
all, remove underline. That worked for me
in my document.
