open office dilemna

Hello
   I have the open office apache (AOO4114m1(Build:9811)  -  Rev. a0d24fb625
2023-02-08 19:47) program and I love it.
    For quite a long while I have been trying to figure out, especially the
writing and spreadsheet, when you create a multiple page document, how do
you set it so that it automatically inserts page numbers to each page...?
