If you deleted some text, did a control z and then the program crashed, then the file on disk has not changed. Unless you did something like: delete some text, save the file, did a control-z and then it crashed? But if you did that then you were vulnerable to many ways of losing your document, such as a power outage. -Rob If the information is critical it might be retrieved using a sector editor. Search the drive for a phrase known to be in the file and if you're lucky, the rest will be with it. When editing important files it's a good idea to keep incremental backups. When a file is saved with the same name, the original is effectively over written and won't be in the trash. jrh - To unsubscribe, e-mail: users-unsubscr...@openoffice.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: users-h...@openoffice.apache.org

Every time you changed a file, you got a new version. - To unsubscribe, e-mail: users-unsubscr...@openoffice.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: users-h...@openoffice.apache.org

2014/1/4 nick van benthem nick_bent...@hotmail.com I deleted some text and then got it back useing control z and then the programm crashed. And i didnt saved the progress and with the recovery hè couldnt Get back the progress. If your file was important at all, I assume you back it up after every change, so just recover your file from one of your backups. Problem solved. - Reply message - Van: Dave Barton d...@tasit.net Aan: users@openoffice.apache.org CC: nick_bent...@hotmail.com Onderwerp: Very dissapointed Datum: za, jan. 4, 2014 19:17 Original Message From: Kay Schenk kay.sch...@gmail.com To: users@openoffice.apache.org Date: Sat, 4 Jan 2014 09:57:11 -0800 On Sat, Jan 4, 2014 at 7:59 AM, nick van benthem nick_bent...@hotmail.comwrote: Thanks to your great programm i've just lost 12 pages of my portfolio..
