That completely flies in the face of reality. People will Google for a solution, and select the most promising link on the first page. I'll grant that that data is a decade old, and that help-file habits for desktop usage might have changed since then. No, it’s a rather old OSX security feature. I think it goes back to Mountain Lion. Go to System Preferences and select the “Security and Privacy” pane.
