How do I assign keyboard shortcuts to macros?

You can use the Tools Macros Organise route but it's much simpler to
use Tools Customise : Keyboard.
You will find macros listed in the box at the bottom left of the dialogue.
There was (and may still be) a problem with macros contained in document
libraries and an issue was filed about

Thanks. That's what I've been trying to do. But once I have selected the
macro in the Function box at the bottom of the dialog form, how is the

Nevermind, I worked it out, thanks.
Nevertheless, I do think it is a needlessly confusing way to assign keys
to macros.

After you have selected the macro, find a free shortcut key in the top
box.
If you want to use one that is already assigned, you can delete the
assigned function using the Delete button.
Once you have both the macro and the key combination selected, use the
button marked Modify.

The latter button could more happily be called Assign.
Thanks again. I did actually manage to engage the grey matter and work
it out. I agree on the button caption.
