Due to some critical issues that are still outstanding, we've decided to
delay the release of oVirt 3.1 by 2 weeks. We are now targeting
2012-08-08 for the release.
For details on the issues currently blocking the release, please see the

Hi Brent,
first guess: have a look if your iptables setup allow connection to the
qemu processes. RHEV 3.0 documentation (publicly accesible) says that a
host needs these ports open:
port 22 for SSH,
ports 5634 to 6166 for guest console connections,
port 16514 for libvirt
Thanks, I just wanted to make sure it's not libvirt that does this.

About 6 months ago I asked on this list if it was possible to install
ovirt on a single host. Thread got long and winded and lost interest.
Started looking at the project again about two days ago. What I
really didn't understand was using a base Fedora install. Installing

it will fail with permission error.
even if you give full r/w to all, but the owner of the dir is not vdsm
you will fail with permission error (you will be able to mount as root
or any other user but not vdsm).

It looks like the file is owned by nobody:nobody, but it should be owned

did you give 36:36 permissions to the dir? when you manually try to
