You would be better off using something like openvswtich and vxlan's for
your purpose. oVirt does support OpenStack Networking... which will give
you what you are looking for in a lab env... tenant networks

Hi,
I am a user like you, I have been testing ovirt 3.6 since the first beta.
For the hosted_engine not being shown in webui, according to ovirt team,
you have bring up your DC by creating a storage domain, then you have to

I think the "Global Maintenance Mode" is linked to the hosted_engine VM,
you won't see it as long as the VM engine is not shown in webui.
you call still do it using the command line hosted-engine --set-maintenance
--mode=global

Well, finaly it's ok. Import of hosted_storage has crashed my engine but on
restart i can activate this storage and then the HostedEngine VM appears.
The "Enable Global HA Maintenance" is available.

Hi everybody,
We have planned to migrate from xen open source to ovirt and we study the
differences between 3.5.4 version and 3.6. I have some questions about this
differences :
- In 3.6RC, we don't see anymore the HostedEngine virtual machine in ovirt. My

Good for you,
For me it did not work, I can't attach the hosted_storage, when I try to do
it, the VM engine crashes, but on reboot the hosted_storage still
unattached so I can't activate it.

Hello all,
In oVirt Engine Version: 3.5.4.2-1.el7.centos, I have above two options
when creating a new cluster.
In oVirt Engine Version:
3.6.0-0.0.master.20150909083746.gitbcc44ff.el7.centos, I no longer have
those options.
I only have:

Enable to set Host

Hi Liam,
We had a similar issue [1] when installing oVirt with a config file and an
invalid value for applicationMode, which has already been resolved.
Additionally, you can find some instructions on the BZ for how to enable
these options back again.
Cheers,

I migrated from 3.4 to 3.5 and I see that my kerberos/ldap is no longer
working and looking further now I see that 3.5 uses AAA.
Is there a migration process to move my kerberos/ldap to AAA or a guide

TIA!
