I am trying to run an Ansible playbook that doesn't appear to run correctly. I
have followed the example from this blog -
https://evaryont.me/blog/2018/09/getting-started-with-vagrant-and-ovirt-from-scratch.html
The playbook finishes with an ok status but the template never gets built in

vProtect is not open source but if you have 10 VMs or less the license is
free. It's an enterprise grade backup solution that can backup oVirt/RHEV
VMs (including incremental backups), also handles restores (can mount on
the backup machine or restore to a new VM directly to oVirt), snapshot
Is there a good low to no-cost solution to backup oVirt and the virtual
machines? I've been unabel to find something that will do a direct VM backup
instead of a backup agent installed on VM

This only started to happen with oVirt node 4.3, 4.2 didn't have issue. Since
I updated to 4.3, every reboot the host goes into emergency mode. First few
times this happened I re-installed O/S from scratch, but after some digging I
found out that the drives it mounts in /etc/fstab cause the
Hi list,
When a user powers down a VM from within the VM operating system (poweroff), a
"moved from 'Up' --> 'Down'" message is written to engine.log, and a EVENT_ID:
VM_DOWN is created

Hello,
when trying to deploy the engine using "hosted-engine --deploy
--restore-from-file=myenginebackup" the ansible playbook errors out at

Hi oVirt List,
I manage to connect oVirt to my LDAP and I'm able to search for users
and groups.
I'm using openLDAP within a ClearOS installation and it looks like this
is a bit different to the standard openLDAP.
Inside the LDAP groups there is an attribute with is calls "member".
Hi,
I'm trying to attach an USB device to a VM but although the host detects
the USB device (is shown in lsusb), the host device tab in the VM is not
showing that device. It show all other but not that one.
Is there something I should do to update ovrit host devices?
Regards
I have already opened a bug for that.
If you are not in a hurry - postpone the migration.
Best Regards,

Perfect, I think this is the best solution, very simple and clear. Thank you

Hello Raul,
i think the best solution is this to put engine on one site, managing
both. I'd put to an external vm, not self hosted engine, for better
flexibility in this kind of scenario. Once done, move a copy of the
data frequently to the remote site (copy the vm via storage
replication or
Hi Luca, thank you for your reply,
The idea is that the 2 sites will be up. I have read a disaster recovery guide,
but I dont need a disaster recovery, I need that, when a site with my manager
down, I can have visibility of the situation. And for this I need my manager.
And, when I recover my
