Hey!
Have you added the hostname to the known_hosts file or setup passwordless
ssh for the single node?
Ansible requires a passwordless ssh to ensure root access to automate the
installation process.
If yes, then probably this issue is fixed in the next build of
cockpit-ovirt.
Can you try to
:)
Ok, after all of the questions I've pestered you guys with, I'm actually
getting started. Thank you all for your help.
A few of questions right off the bat.
For this install, I'm installing the latest (4.4.2) onto CentOS 8.
1) What's the difference between the `ovirt-hosted-engine-setup`
Usually the cockpit deployment is generating an ansible play which you can edit
before running it.

I don't use ansible for the deployment of the hosted engine right now, but like
I said the ovirt-hosted-engine-setup:command.
Can you tell me where I can find the required ansible plays, then I'll try.

I guess you can experiment a little bit.
Have you tried to 'inject' a task before the failing one to add the options
you need via 'blockinfile' or 'lineinfile'.
I think the simplest way is to add a 'pause' task , that will give you enough
time to:
- Find the IP of the local engine vm
- ssh to
Hi David,
i admit that I have some cases with Gluster Hyperconverged, but having in mind
that I'm always on the bleeding edge (I'm a little bit behind on my oVirt now)
with 1 Gluster version ahead of the default for oVirt -> I think it's
acceptable.
It doesn't matter which storage

We don't have strict rules, but I think that bottom posting will be better, even
better selecting the relevant parts in your reply.

Hi,
I have image upload/download working on some older ovirt servers where
it still has the split daemon/proxy...
on one newer one this feature is not working;
software in use:
CentOS 8
ovirt-engine-4.4.1.10-1.el8.noarch
ovirt-imageio-client-2.0.9-1.el8.x86_64

No one have this kind of problem?
We use OVA export to make some backup, but the whole task takes a lot of
time because only one ansible-playbook
"/usr/share/ovirt-engine/playbooks/ovirt-ova-export.yml" run at the same
time.

Hi all,
I'm currently installing OVirt 4.4 on CentOS 8 in an hosted engine setup and it

Because of our corporate proxy, some changes to the dnf.conf is needed (namely
proxy_auth_method=basic) and the config is working fine when running dnf
commands the

Hello All,
I installed Ovirt node 4.4.1.5 from the ovirt ISO, IP 192.168.1.53/24
I setup the self hosted engine by logging into the web interface,
configured it for 192.168.1.55/24 IP on the default generated bridge
interface and setup a FQDN that is resolvable via DNS.
Setup NFS storage, and
