Hi, I'm totally new with Ovirt.
I have a production server in which I planned to install Ovirt.
I need to use their local storage for Virtualization, but it seems that only
have chance to storage in NAS or other network or fiber storage.
Can I use the local storage for virtualization?. If yes,

Not sure it's possible to change
Do you think it would add significant value to your use of oVirt if
- single node HCI could easily promote to 3-node HCI?
- single increments of HCI nodes worked with "sensible solution of quota
issues"?
- extra HCI nodes (say beyond 6) could easily transition into erasure coding
for good quota
If it helps, I had to create a network called ovirtmgmt.
This was my network setup
Configure 2 nics to be in a bond.
Configure a bond with the bridge being ovirtmgmt
Configure a bridge called ovirtmgmt with a static up.
Make sure ovirtmgmt is DEFROUTE=Yes

Some new information: I found that the VDSM traffic (anything not SSH) was
being blocked by the default network security rules (not on the host).
After fixing this, I am still unable to add a host though.
If I try
vdsm-client -a Host getCapabilities
I get this error:

I have looked through the ansible files on my engine vm.

I'll research this. Could you give me some more details on what to do?
Can I use vdsm-client -a to test this as well?

Investigation so far has showed, that symlink for conf_volume/conf_image is
missing on Hosts 1 and 3.
According to the ovirt-engine deep dive, connection/access to conf_volume is
required for adding new HE Hosts as it holds its configuration template. This
is most likely the reason why I could
Dear Strahil and Yedidyah,
Is it possible that HostedEngine DEPLOY on Host2 is failing due to “inability”
to access the conf_volume_UUID “c518f937-60fe-4fed-a54c-db11328bb507”
I do not see that error message on Host2, but I see it on Host1 and Host3:

This is ERROR i caught on Host2 during HE Deploy:

I executed ovirt-hosted-engine-cleanup on Host2 and it seems as it went ok:
[root@ovirt-sj-02 log]# ovirt-hosted-engine-cleanup
This will de-configure the host to run ovirt-hosted-engine-setup from scratch.
Caution, this operation should be used with care. Are you sure you want to
proceed? [y/n]
Hi Strahil and Yedidyah,
First of all I want to thank you for helping me.
So, this is what I did:
* Executed steps as in https://access.redhat.com/solutions/2212601 and
https://access.redhat.com/solutions/3319891 on working Hosts (Host1 and Host3)
– to clean up failed deployment
*

Engine VM stopped on localhost
MainThread::ERROR::2021-05-02
Unfortunately ai could nıt save engine.db file.
At the end i re-install engine, ,mport storage domains.
In storage domains, import templates and virtual machines
re assing to user.
Ofcourse all network re-attached
Now, beside of the engine-backup script i run pgdumpall as backup of backup :)
I can see some ssl handshake: SSLError.
I would recommend reinstalling certificates from the engine.
Regards,
Ales
