You're welcome. Good to hear you didn't loose anything. Export to OVA has one of the hosts write an OVA file to the selected host's filesystem. (As long as VDSM has write privileges to do so.) The OVA file contains the *entire* VM configuration (Number of CPUs / Chipset / Network Adapters / etc.)

Dear ovirt community, I can't upgrade ovirt to version 4.4.10 because of EOL of centos8. How can we convert centos 8 to centos 8 stream? Thanks. ___ Users mailing list -- users@ovirt.org To unsubscribe send an email to users-le...@ovirt.org Privacy

[ovirt-users] Re: live storage migration & export speed

2022-02-22 Thread Thomas Hoberg
This is very cryptic: care to expand a little? oVirt supports live migration--of VMs, meaning the (smaller) RAM contents--and tries to avoid (larger) storage migration. The speed for VM migration has the network as an upper bound, not sure how intelligently unused (ballooned?) RAM is excluded

I'm glad you made it work! My main lesson from oVirt from the last two years is: It's not a turnkey solution. Unless you are willing to dive deep and understand how it works (not so easy, because there is few up-to-date materials to explain the concepts) *AND* spend a significant amount of
