Just to document it and keep history.
I solved the problem by updating the kernel and libvirt.
Kernel-4.x and libvirt-8.x do not correctly detect processors from the
cascadelake family.
If you have 2 physical sockets on the host, the combination of kernel and
libvirt above will only detect 1
I believe they updated the vdsm configuration part.
You just need to configure the bond on the host via the cockpit.
For some reason, I needed to configure an IP on the bond, otherwise the bond
kept deactivating and I lost connection with the host.
Then, you create the vlan interface on top of
Hello everyone!
First, I would like to thank everyone involved in this wonderful project. I
leave here my sincere thanks!
Does anyone know if it is possible to list all snapshots automatically? It can
be by ansible, python, shell... any way that helps to list them all without
having to enter
That seems coherent to me.
So you would have a new and clean environment.
I would do it this way.

Hey man, what's up?
So... I use 4 FC cables (2 per controller) connected from Storage to FC Switch.
From this FC Switch I connect my hosts with 4 FC cables.
The more cables from Storage to Switch, the more throughout you will get.
That way I can use multipath. So when I drop an FC cable or a
Hi Andrey.
You may need to back up the engine and redeploy on the new cluster and then
restore the backup.

Anyone?
I know that RH 7.6+ and SLES 12.4+ kernel have support but I don't know if
oVirt interface have it, you know? Because Optane memory is " like a local
storage" between disk and memory, more or less is this it.
I ask because we will want use with SAP VMs.
What is the usage experience of the Intel Optane DC Persistent Memory with
oVirt?
It's compatible? Have any document for configuration?

Just for information, I performed the deployment via CLI and it worked. I don't
know if it's a bug in the Web GUI or something else...
Please disregard.

Hi all.
I'm trying to deploy the engine, but when I get the LUNs from the hypervisor,
the deploy doesn't find it.
Message: "Retrieval of fiber channel LUNs failed."
At the hypervisor/Linux level, the LUNs are there, both through /dev /mapper
and multipath -ll.

Hi Martin.
Sorry my english...
So... the engine was updated successfully. I had already executed the commands
and procedures you wrote below, but even so, the host fails to update.
Below are some messages from the events of the engine's web interface:
- Failed to upgrade Host
When I update the Engine and Host, many dependencies are missing, as shown by
the host error log:
Error:
Problem 1: package ovirt-hosted-engine-setup-2.4.6-1.el8.noarch requires
ovirt-ansible-engine-setup >= 1.1.9, but none of the providers can be installed
- package
For information, I was able to install it on 4.4.2, but it only works if I
leave the default partitioning layout.
The error happens only when I try to create a custom partitioning.

Yes, I understand, but my question is whether I can reclaim the allocated space
after deleting the snapshot. Because oVirt is not returning space, it is only
increasing, even though you have not done anything in the snapshot. That is,
with each snapshot I create, it increases 1GB, and even
Hello everyone.
I would like to know how disk size and snapshot allocation works, because every
time I create a new snapshot, it increases 1 GB in the VM's disk size, and when
I remove the snap, that space is not returned to Domain Storage.
I'm using the oVirt 4.3.10
How do I reprovision the
Hi Paul, thanks for your reply.
I imported the VM with the command below, but I had that create a Export Domain

part is export to Export Domain, on NFS, and second part is import on oVirt

Hi all!
I have a Suse KVM and I would like to import all VMs to oVirt. There is a easy
