Here's the technique we use :
- create manually the vm on ovirt with same disks (same size that original
but you can choose target type, thin provision or preallocated)
- on any node, force activating the disks to make them writable at the os
level (lvm, vgchange...)

Hi Shafi,
A Storage Domain in oVirt is like a Storage Pool in a stand-alone KVM host.
To create a virtual disk on a stand-alone KVM host, a storage pool must exist
where you create the virtual disk. The same for oVirt, to upload or to create a

That’s sounding more likely to be the network between the clusters/DCs than
your ovirt setup. Ovirt clusters are just logical groupings, they don’t manage
any networking directly themselves.
Some questions to ask:
- Does the inter cluster link have a lower than 9000 mtu?
- What’s the latency
Hi Jorge,
We're using the VirtIO driver, the MTU is 9000 and the physical NICs are 25G.
The ports are grouped in bonds. ( 2 x 25G interfaces in a bond )
After additional tests we have seen the following:

* between vm's on different hosts in same
Just run the DB vacuum scripts:
/usr/share/ovirt-engine/bin/engine-vacuum.sh -a -f -v
/usr/share/ovirt-engine-dwh/bin/dwh-vacuum.sh -a -f -v

Hi,
You probably need to vacuum the database.
Others on this list may be able to direct you to an oVirt tool / script for

data i'm collecting. You can adjust as you need accordingly.
For your IO issues you can easily simply poll your machine's IO load
statistics from the 5/10/15 minute averages. That will not give you
precise intervals
Hi.
I also use Zabbix here. Its problem is that it collects metrics in real
time, this is not its function.
There are other alternatives like Elasticsearch + metricbeat, but from what
I've tested, it's very heavy and uses a lot of disk space lol.
I never used Prometheus, I found it interesting.
For detailed monitoring I use Zabbix. This way I get detailed metrics
on my hypervisors, VMs as well as my network storage.
If a machine starts generating large IO I get alerts highlighting the
responsible machine as well as the impacted services. For example, you
might get high IO on a VM

Turns out the "when" condition in the blocks of
/usr/share/ovirt-engine/ansible-runner-service-project/project/roles/ovirt-provider-ovn-driver/tasks/configure.yml
was wrong. Changed it to the same as on ovirt-engine 4.5.4. Host deploy works
on ovirt-engine 4.5.5 now

Hello all.
Here is what a user, Murilo Morais, told me and worked

Run this command on the engine, does not matter if it is engined or not
engine-setup --offline
Will came a question ask to renew the certificates
