Yes, this one.
If it is enabled, Engine should reflect the MTU which is provided by
ovirt-provider-ovn via OpenStack API.
The related configuration value dhcp-mtu of ovirt-provider-ovn is explained
in https://github.com/oVirt/ovirt-provider-ovn/blob/master/README.adoc.

Thank you for getting back with me ! Sorry to be slow responding.

Indeed, when i pick the host that I want to use for the upload, oVirt

[ovirt-users] Re: HCI with 5 node quest

2020-11-01 Thread Simon Scott
Apologies Strahill,

I don’t think my question was very clear - my fault.

In all the documentation on HCI that I’ve read, it clearly states the the 3
node HCI model can only be expanded in multiples of 3 nodes, i.e. 3, 6, 9, 12.

I don’t know if I missed a basic explanation somewhere but is there any reason
I can’t have a 5 node cluster with multiple Gluster Replica 3 volumes utilising
any of the 5 nodes in the same Gluster Peer Group?

Kind Regards

Shimme

We do not know.
Nodes 3,4,5 need to be in the same gluster network like 1,2,3 .
Once you create your bricks (inode size >= 512) and mount them permanently, you
can create an extra volume or expand the current volumes.

Once you have prepared the nodes, you can add them from UI.

[ovirt-users] Re: different rendering chrome and firefox and corruptions in both

2020-11-01 Thread Sharon Gratch
Hi,

For both issues (1) + (2):
Please try clearing your Firefox browser cache (Ctrl + F5).

The correct landing page view is the one appears on your Chrome browser
while it seems that your Firefox browser still uses some old CSS files.
This refreshing problem might happen since we changed the PatternFly
version for few dialogs and some of the changes are in cached CSS files.

For issue (3):
I can't try reproducing that since I currently don't have the environment,
but can you please attach the ui.log file?
@Gobinda Das can you please take a look?

Thanks,
Sharon

oVirts picks a random host from the hosts that can access the storage
domain. If you have a better way to do this, you can specify the host in
the UI.

If you select a host and oVirt ignores your selection it sounds like a bug.

You can enable discard after delete by puting the storage domain to
maintenace and modifying the domain advanced options.

If the storage supports discard, and you did not select wipe after delete
storage domain option, and you use virtio-scsi interface, you can use
"fstrim" in the guest to free unused space.

Using fstrim does not reduce logical volume allocation size, only block in
the underlying storage.

What is the best way to install ovirt guest on Ubuntu 16.04.6?

What I did:
# apt-get install ovirt-guest-agent

I changed value in /etc/ovirt-guest-agent.conf to look like:
[virtio]
# device = /dev/virtio-ports/com.redhat.rhevm.vdsm
device = /dev/virtio-ports/ovirt-guest-agent.0

# systemctl start ovirt-guest-agent

Error on the log:
OSError: [Errno 13] Permission denied: '/dev/virtio-ports/ovirt-guest-agent.0

Than I set the owner and group
# chown ovirtagent:ovirtagent /dev/virtio-ports/ovirt-guest-agent.0

Than I was able to start the agent

# systemctl status ovirt-guest-agent
● ovirt-guest-agent.service - oVirt Guest Agent

Everytime I restart the VM I need to set the owner and group

# chown ovirtagent:ovirtagent /dev/virtio-ports/ovirt-guest-agent.0

[ovirt-users] Discard after Delete

2020-11-01 Thread Joris DEDIEU
Hi list,
I forgot to check "Discard after Delete" when creating a new volume. Is
there a way (other than to empty the volume) to reclaim free blocks.

In https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=981626 I read about
blkdiscard, but as far as I understand it will erase my VMs ...

Thanks for your answers
Joris
