omer - is there a way (even via db) to get list of tasks preventing
 maintaining an export domain?

not from db, when deactivating a storage domain the engine runs
getAllTasksStatuses on the SPM host,
if tasks are returned, deactivate is blocked.
you can manually run getAllTasksStatuses on the spm host,
and run stopTask and clearTask for every task that returns (all with vdsClient
on the SPM host).

[Users] permanent vnc password and custom properties

2012-03-20 Thread Michal Kopacki
Any thoughts how to set vnc password permanently (without any scripts
outside ovirt). ?

Now I use cli command such:

vdsClient -s 0 setVmTicket 75c42e2e-ac28-45ae-9c78-2e4f68ee9c07 pass
3600 keep

But it's not so convenient.

Second question is how to use Custom properties box - how should
command/value looks like ?

[Users] Outage Update - www.ovirt.org and gerrit.ovirt.org

2012-03-20 Thread Ofer Schreiber
www.ovirt.org and gerrit.ovirt.org are now up and running.

We experienced two issues:
 1. DB corruption on www.ovirt.org, caused by a full file system.
 2. Faulty gerrit service, probably caused by #1.

Both issues were handled by oVirt infra team (mburns, quaid and myself)

Thank you for your patience.

you can set vmticket from ovirt api/sdk/cli as well, no need to directly
use the vdsm cli.

to the ticket action, pass the expiry you want

Hi.

My Setup - 3 servers

1 Frontend (ovirt engine) - Fedora 16- external + local IP
1 Ovirt node (using the node .iso) - external + local IP
1 NFS storage - external + local IP - I attached the storage using the
Local IP (10.0.0.190)

I have launched firefox with - SPICEC_LOG_LEVEL=0 firefox

I create a VM, turn it on - click the spice console button - it crashes

I can see

you can set vmticket from ovirt api/sdk/cli as well, no need to directly use
 the vdsm cli.
to the ticket action, pass the expiry you want

So the pw would be valid for the whole duration regardless of if a
client is connected or does it expire after the first usage?

Using the FC16 RPMs will not work in RHEL or CentOS in this case.
This was referenced a few days ago on the list,
http://www.dreyou.org/ovirt/. I haven't tried it myself, but looks
promising.
