Hi, We're going to start composing oVirt 3.5.1 RC on *2014-11-25 08:00 UTC* from 3.5 branch. In order to stabilize the release a new branch ovirt-engine-3.5.1 will be created from the same git hash used for composing the RC. This still was not enough - services (engine, fence-kdump-listener etc) were not configured correctly. Tried now with latest 3.5 nightly snapshot and it worked. Note that yum update to it didn't work - I guess it's because services are configured only on yum install and not yum update, didn't check this. Also, I needed to start nfs services prior to running engine-setup, or it would emit what seems like a non-fatal error in the end when running 'exportfs -ar'. Pushed [3] to fix that. [ovirt-users] Multiple ISO Storage Domains
Hello: How does one create multiple ISO domains ? if I try it just throws a general error Error while executing action New NFS Storage Domain: Error creating a storage domain. And if the question is asked why would one require multiple ISO domains its when one has clusters in multiple data centers. How much is it risky to bypass the yum distro-sync step? Will the fedup part run itself the distro-sync command then, or is it only a sort of pre-check to verify consistency of packages? [ovirt-users] Error trying to add new hosted-engine host to upgraded oVirt cluster
Hi everyone,
I have upgraded my oVirt 3.4 hosted engine cluster to oVirt 3.5 using the
upgrade instructions on the Wiki. Everything appears to be working fine
after the upgrade.
However, I am now trying to add a new host to the hosted engine
configuration but the hosted-engine --deploy fails after sshing the answers
file from the upgraded primary configuration. The following errors can be
found in the setup log:
Answer file lacks lockspace UUIDs, please use an answer file generated from
the same version you are using on this additional host
I confirmed that the answers file on the upgraded host does not have any
lockspace UUIDs:

had no trouble, and one hypervisor node that had trouble (ovirt-node01?).

Hello, The first thing the 3.5 release notes talk about is Live Merge of snapshots and I've been dying to try that out. Problem: I think my environment is completely up to date now, but the Delete link on VM snapshots remains greyed out when the VM is running. Going via Storage - Domain name - Disk Snapshots, clicking Remove is possible (UX inconsistency), but it stops with Error while executing action: Cannot remove Disk Snapshot. At least one of the VMs is not down. What is needed, besides the following, to make live merge work? - oVirt Engine Version: 3.5.0.1-1.el6 - Data Center Compatibility Version: 3.5 - Host OS: RHEL - 6 - 6.el6.centos.12.2 - KVM Version: 0.12.1.2 - 2.415.el6_5.7 - Libvirt Version: libvirt-0.10.2-46.el6_6.1 - VDSM version: vdsm-4.16.7-1.gitdb83943.el6 - Live Snapsnot Support: Active VM has been restarted to make sure it's running on the latest qemu-kvm. Hi, First thanks for the video. Though I have a question about the setup. I don't see any options regarding multipath. You are connecting directly to the iscsi lun, but most of the times the connection is redundant and multipathd needs to be configured in order to have redundancy. Is it a future enhancement or multipath is done behind scene? If it's taking care of it, what about special configs for the device in the multipath.conf? I just did this today but in posixfs mode not native Gluster mode.After the update of each gluster node restart the process and manually trigger a heal on each of the volumes. What ever you do NOT start upgrading the next gluster node until you have verified that the heal is complete on all volumes. Hello I am using ovirt-engine version 3.4 , currently having problems to run VM, and get error VM Debian is down. Exit message: child quit during startup handshake: Input/output error. Before this, I manage to run VM Debian then after installation complete , I shut it down and when run it back I unable to run it back as it mentioned the error cannot run VM low disk space on target storage domain local_storage. I do check my server df -h , yes I have too much space on the root partition where all the ovirt-engine setup was there, but we have more unused space at /home partition, then what I do after that we copy the images(iso file) for that particular vm into the /home partition then rename it according to path stated at the ISO_DOMAIN. By doing all the process I can't manage to run the VM yet and get the error message stated that VM Debian is down. Exit message: child quit during startup handshake: Input/output error.
