I'm running ovirt 4.0.4 on a single-host with (of course) self-hosted engine.
Ovirt seems to assume in many cases that there are multiple hosts around
so you can manipulate one host while the engine is running on another,
etc.
But in the single-host case how do you take a snapshot of the host
I've implemented sucessfully a hook to edit the configuration of some of my
nics on my ovirt hosts.
Is there a way to add firewall rules (iptables) with vdsm hooks?

Thanks for supplying the disk image.
I am able to reproduce this with the version of setfiles in RHEL 7.3,
but not with the version in Fedora 24, so I guess this was fixed
somewhere in between.
I'll try to narrow it down to a particular commit and send a bug
report.

I believe IP-over-Infiniband is an OSI level 3 transport, so it can’t be used

Hello again,
Just to provide an update for future reference, I've been unable to sort this
problem out.
However, Ovirt4 does not show this failure.
My current approach to move VMs from one installation to another is:
1)Shutdown VM in ovirt3.
2)Maintenance VM storage

We don't have a role based UI. I recommend using the user portal\power user
portal or ManageIQ to get this capability.

That is correct. We are successfully using ib0 to access iSCSI and NFS on all
nodes.
We are now trying to create a network for the VMs to use on ib1.

I think it is not good. We need to give rights on the system, but in a way the
user gets the right to operate in addition to its other clusters storage
domains.

Hi,
I was following the examples on this chain from the archives.
http://lists.ovirt.org/pipermail/users/2014-November/028995.html
And I was able to move the hosted engine, I had to update the database
manually though to get the automatically imported storage domain to follow
it.

I create user in internal domain by ovirt-aaa-jdbc-tool, next, I grant him

User can provide super-user operations, but he can't add storage domain.
I also grant to user storage-admin rights, but problem persist anyway.

@ Probably because containers in Windows actually run inside VMs, therefore
using nested Virtualization.

they have “real“ container Support now
