Hello,
We have planned an event named "The Tech Talk" on October 15, 2017.
In the event we will mainly focus on
- oVirt Virtualization
- RAID & NFS
- iSCSI
In the event, we will use CentOS as main Linux distribution on which above
mentioned services will be installed.
The event is
Hi,
I've done a lot more testing today. I've narrowed the issues down to
two specific VMs. When I'm running either of these two VMs I get
horrific network performance. When both of those two are stopped, my
network is just fine (like 99% of the time).
I've been spending the day gathering

Hello,
I'm new to ovirt, I try it for the first time.
I downloaded the iso ovirt-node-ng-installer-ovirt-4.1-2017100406.iso

Unfortunately no, you are not missing anything. We do not have this
functionality ATM.
We have a feature request for exactly

That didn't seem to make any difference.
I can make it work by disabling authentication
auth_unix_rw="none" in /etc/libvirt/libvirtd.conf

I believe you would accomplish this by setting a VM to be highly available
(like the engine). Then engine makes sure this VM is up on at least one
node through lease agreements (IIRC). In either case, I think this is what
you want

Sure. vdsm-tool should be disabling lvmetad on the host automatically.
Maybe some of the hosts were fresh installed and others have been upgraded
from older versions? In any case, you should be able to run on any host in
maintenance mode:
sudo vdsm-tool configure --force
And this should
I have an oVirt cluster that was hard shutdown last night (fire is bad,
and firemen killed the generators for their safety). When it came back
up, it did not start any VMs other than the hosted engine.
Is that expected? I know this is not a normal use case, but is there a
way to set VMs to
Hi,
Did you modify your /etc/sasl2/libvirt.conf, because the update has modify the
way to authenticate from md5 to gssapi.
If not just change this line :
mech_list: gssapi
to
mech_list: digest-md5
And restart services
As mentioned in the libvirt.conf file :
# NB, previously DIGEST-MD5 was set

Great! Glad you're back up and running. One additional note about LVM
commands. It's dangerous to use lvmetad for some commands while vdsm is
running since it will not use lvmetad.
