Just to make it clear - I know that bug originally occurred on FC, and it
will be helpful to have the full logs if we want to understand the root
cause for this.

Re: [ovirt-users] move disk and lv not removed

2017-10-23 Thread Idan Shaby
Hi Gianluca,

Can you try to reproduce it with FC? Maybe it's somehow related to that.
Did you try to lvremove the old lv's, or are they still in use?
Trying to do this from the SPM should be ok. What do you mean synchronize
the information at the other node side?
In any case, this is a disk that you don't need anymore, isn't it? You said
that the copy part of the move operation went well.

Idan

Re: [ovirt-users] Problems to log into portal

2017-10-23 Thread Juan Pablo Lorier
Thanks Yedidyah for your reply. The FQDN is correct:

/etc/ovirt-engine/engine.conf.d/10-setup-protocols.conf:ENGINE_FQDN=ovirt01.tecnica.tnu.com.uy

I managed to connect to the admin portal using a ssh tunnel, but I can't
do it via a regular connection. Any other hint?

We are tracking a similar request here:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1490041 - [RFE] Provide IdM
client software in RHVH
In oVirt Node you can just enable CentOS repos and install any needed
package and configure it as if it was a normal CentOS installation.
Nothing already integrated ready to be consumed.

[ovirt-users] oVirt-node and freeipa

2017-10-23 Thread Winfried de Heiden

Hi all,

Using oVirt 4.1 using FreeIPA for authentication for oVirt Manager
is quite straight forward. Now, for the hypervisor I'm using
oVirt-node. OK, I do not much login on the hypervisor it self, but
it would be nice to integrate oVirt-node with FreeIPA as well.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I cannot find anything about
this... Is it possible for oVirt-node to integrate with FreeIPA?

[ovirt-users] using oVirt with newer librbd1

2017-10-23 Thread Matthias Leopold

Hi,

we want to use a Ceph cluster as the main storage for our oVirt 4.1.x
datacenter. We successfully tested using librbd1-12.2.1-0.el7 package
from Ceph repos instead of the standard librbd1-0.94.5-2.el7 from CentOS
7 in an oVirt virtualization node. Are there any caveats when doing so?
Will this work in oVirt 4.2?

[ovirt-users] 3.6 InClusterUpgrade

2017-10-23 Thread Kapetanakis Giannis
Hi,

I'm in the process of upgrading to 4.1 from 3.6.7 (centos 6)
The default cluster runs in 3.5 compatibility mode.

I cannot add a new Centos 7 host:
2017-10-23 13:50:08,359 ERROR
[org.ovirt.engine.core.dal.dbbroker.auditloghandling.AuditLogDirector]

Message: Host v5 is compatible with versions (3.6,4.0,4.1) and cannot join
Cluster Default which is set to version 3.5.

I'm following https://www.ovirt.org/feature/inclusterupgrade/ for upgrading.

I've set
engine-config -s CheckMixedRhelVersions=false --cver=3.5
restarted and set Scheduling policy InClusterUpgrade

Any recommendations how to proceed without shutting down all VMs?

I also want to avoid creating a new cluster with 3.6 version cause then I will
have to shutdown all VMs again.

Thanks

G
ps. The steps I had in mind were:
upgrade serially hosts to Centos 7
migrate VMs there
backup-restore engine to new Centos 7 machine

Re: [ovirt-users] Cannot uplaod ot ISO domain

2017-10-23 Thread Alex K
Hi Kasturi,

I see. What I was missing is that the engine does not have a nic on
glusternw.
I was hoping that the engine would be able to upload using the hosts.
Anyway, this is not an issue since I can directly scp on export domain as
you mentioned.

Thanx

 Hi,

The storage where 'ISO' storage domain resides has to be reachable for
the engine server. Please check network connectivity between the two.
