Hi,
Any thoughts on this, or have anyone been in this situation to scale out a
single instance to multiple nodes ?
Thank you,
Have a nice day !

Hello list,
I'm using the quick start documentation to build a lab setup. Immediately
after the task "Configure Networks", there is a task "Attach oVirt Node or
Enterprise Linux Host" I haven't found a spot in the new GUI that matches
the navigation tree in the manual. How would I navigate to
Hi All,
I have started testing oVirt 4.2 and focused on OVN recently. I was
wondering whether there is a plan to manage L2->L7 ACLs through oVirt web
ui.
If not, how could it be possible to manage ACLs except command line tools ?
Using opendaylight ??
All the best !

In short, it is not possible to replace engine sso service with an out of
the box oauth2 or OIDC end point.
We have a few custom end points that improve the performance of engine and
also help with authz searches which is used to assign permissions to
users/groups on engine side.

The system permissions are at the highest level so Everyone has UserRole for
everything.
If you go into Configure then System Permissions you can remove the UserRole
permission. The default permission for Everyone is UserProfileEditor.

Thanks a lot for your support!
A reinstalled a fresh ovirt-engine and managed to import the certificate.
A managed to upload an image even with the self signed certificates
configured.
I think a "simple" way to allow letsencrypt certificates to be used for
"external access" web UI, API..;
Hi Oliver,
Sorry we couldn't get this to upgrade, but removing the base layers kinda
killed us - however, we already have some ideas on how to improve imgbased
to make it more friendly :)
Thanks for the update !
Yuval.

Hi Yuval,
as you can see in my last attachment, after lv meta restore i was unable to
modify LV's in pool00.
Thin pool has queued transactions got 23 expect 16 or so.
I reboot and try repairing from Centos 7 USB Stick and can’t access / remove LV

Hello,
While trying to upgrade a hosted engine to most recent 4.2.4 version, I'm
receiving this error

Hi Paul,
The permission I gave to the user etudiant2 was only on an object, a VM.
But the Everyone permission (UserRole) is a system permission Inherited.
I can't remove this permission on the VM that I don't want that
etudiant2 will be able to access.

Hello everyone,
I have two things that i really need to understand regarding storage
scaling using gluster.
Basically, I am trying to figure out a way to go from 1 single instance
to multiple nodes cluster.
1. Single node SelfHosted Engine HyperConverged setup - scale instance up
to 3 nodes:

Hello,
as part of our policy I have to change from LDAP to Active Directory
for authentication in our oVirt system. I have managed to configure a test
system that allows users to login using the CN (sAMAccountName) as before. The
users in the system using the AD namespace are using

Hello,
There is something I don't understand in permissions.
I'm using Ovirt 4.2.3.5-1.
I created a user :
- ovirt-aaa-jdbc-tool user add etudiant2 --attribute=firstName=Etudiant2
--attribute=lastName=Etudiant2-Lastname
- ovirt-aaa-jdbc-tool user password-reset etudiant2
Well I feel stupid now, after checking everything in the engine VM itself
per your suggestion, I checked /etc/hosts on the host itself. I could have
sworn I added in an entry, but sure enough, missing entry for the
engine... I cleaned up the old "External" engine VM from setup, added the
entry
Hi,
Thanks for letting us know!
Can you please file a bug for it?
