[ovirt-users] Re: Live Migration via NFS

2018-08-08 Thread Douglas Duckworth
Hi Nir

Thanks for clarifying

We can still use NFS as export domain which can be used to move VM once
they're shutdown?

Can GPFS be used to provide shared block storage domain?

We don't support migrating vm migration from local to shared storage, only
if the disk is

Does the gust agent report the applications list inside the VM? (you can
check that in the webadmin)
If it does + this list contains the qemu-guest-agent then you can set the
config value "AgentAppName" accordingly (by default the engine determines
whether the guest agent is installed by checking whether this list contains
either ovirt-guest-agent-common or ovirt-guest-agent).

2018-08-08 Thread femi adegoke
This same snapshot error also exists with Linux vm's.

With the Linux vm's the guest agent icon will not go away even though the guest
agent is installed.."The latest guest agent needs to be installed and running
on the guest."

[ovirt-users] Re: python error in syslog of all hosts in new HCI default build

2018-08-08 Thread Jayme
I'll check that out and let you know. I am not using vdo, so perhaps it's
possible that the vdo python module does not get installed even though
apparently it's still needed without vdo present

[ovirt-users] oVirt 4.2.6 + GlusterFS

2018-08-08 Thread radu
Hello,

I have 24 HP DL360 G7 all with 64G RAM and 1TB SAS disks.

What I want to archive is to use all the nodes with ovirt (one will be for the
controller + iso domain) and use GluterFS in the same nodes for the storage
domain.

Idk if anyone tried it before, but I want it to replace my actual "standalone"
production hypervisors schema.

Thanks in advance
