Hello community,

since yesterday I try to update my cluster, but when I was trying it 
through GUI it never finished and when I try it manually I got:

Downloading successful, but checksum doesn't match. Calculated:

and it starts again the download process.

Before I also run: dnf clean all

Can it be, that something with the mirrors are wrong?

As part of the install we configure bonding which hasn’t been a problem until

[ovirt-users] How to reset admin@ovirt in keycloak

Hello,

after setting up a new oVirt Cluster with buildin keycloak i have issues login 
in as admin@ovirt, looks like i saved the wrong password in my password 
manager, now i have issues finding a way to reset the password of this user to 
do administration in the keycloak admin console, i tried changing the password 
with:

/usr/share/ovirt-engine-keycloak/bin/add-user-keycloak.sh and 
/usr/share/ovirt-engine-wildfly/bin/add-user-keycloak.sh. Both without success, 
i found i can create a new "keycloak-add-user.json" with the second command and 
i can copy it over to the right place where the old file was, after rebooting 
the hosted engine this has no effect.

Is there a known way to reset admin@ovirt with the internal keycloak? i cant 
find anything in the docs.

I'm glad that it worked!
We adjusted the validity period in 4.5, once you upgrade the whole system you 
shouldn't get into this situation that often.

Hi,

I checked the self-hosted doc and I see that High-Availability is provided by additional 
"self-hosted" capable hosts and a dedicated shared Storage Domain to store the 
engine VM.

What about the "upgrade-gone-wrong" case ?

I mean, before any important upgrade of any VM, we take a snapshot and revert 
to it if required.

We had a similar case when upgrading the engine from 4.3 to 4.4, where a 
mismatched cluster CPU type prevented starting VMs.
We were even working with two different engine VMs rather than snapshots 
because 4.3 was on OL7 et 4.4 is on OL8.
We had to revert for a while to the 4.3 engine waiting for the fix.

What's the plan w/ a self-hosted engine ?

That was with XEN,  OCFS2 cluster context, which is more prone to instabilities.
Anyway, loosing the manager/engine when things start going wrong is just 
worsening the situation.

Yes, but oVirt does that quite differently. Despite the challenges around 
deployment I believe it's a way safer solution than trying to run this 
independently/manually.

GUI "admin@local" password from there - and what is the process?

I ask because this'll mean I won't have to do a re-install to reset the bad 
password I mentioned above.

Finally - *FINALLY* - I've got a clean install!

As I said in my last post, I stripped the three hosts back to bare metal and 
reinstalled *everything* from scratch, as per the oVirt doco - and late this 
afternoon the deployment script finished without any errors and I could pull up 
the Engine Web page.

So all good (except see below)  :-)

Questions:
- When logging in to the Engine URL for the first time, is the username "admin" 
or "admin@internal"?
- Just to make it 100% clear in my own muddled mind: Step 5.4 (of the oVirt CLI 
Install doco) is performed on the Engine VM, isn't it, and *not* on the host, 
right?

I'm having trouble logging in - but that's OK because I'm pretty sure I know 
what the issue is (bad password :-) ) so I'm going to tackle that one tomorrow.

Thanks for the help everyone (include the OOB help) - if someone could please 
confirm these final(?) two questions that'd be great.
