[ovirt-users] Ceph Cinder QoS

2018-01-25 Thread Matteo Dacrema
Hi All,

I’m running a 4.2 cluster with all VMs on Ceph using cinder external provider.

I’m trying to limit IOPS with cinder qos and volume type but it doesn’t work.
VM xml doesn’t show anything about

Is it expected to work or is not implemented yet?

Thank you

Matteo

[ovirt-users] RBD cache

2017-10-16 Thread Matteo Dacrema
Hi all,

I’m using oVirt 4.1 with Ceph backed VMs.

I’m trying to understand how to configure rbd cache on the nodes.
During VM boot up libvirt search for a files under /etc/ceph/ceph.conf. After
placing file in that directory with correct cache parameters the warning
disappears but cache isn’t enabled yet.

Does anyone has some hint?
Thank you
Regards

Matteo

Re: [ovirt-users] VMs HA with cinder volumes

2017-02-21 Thread Matteo Dacrema
Hi Nir,

thank you.
So, can I use a Ceph backed VM with a lease on gluster?

Also if I detach network from the node hosting the VMs it will not migrated to
another host.

Matteo

[ovirt-users] VMs HA with cinder volumes

2017-02-20 Thread Matteo Dacrema
Hi all,

I’ve a setup that uses Ceph through ovirt for VM storage.
I tested out VM HA and all works well when IPMI is reachable.
When it’s not reachable because of network or power failure VM states switch to
unknown and it’s not restarted to other nodes.

Is it a specific setup that I’ve missed?

Thank you
Regards
Matteo
