Hi,
thank you very much for your infos.
We had trouble with the Storage and the Datacenter, so we export the
vms, delete the old one and made a new one.
Now everything is working fine.

[ovirt-users] LUN space lost after disk creation

2015-07-17 Thread Michael Wagenknecht
Hello,
yesterday I want to add a new disk with 100 GB to a running vm. The
creation of the disk fails, but in the GUI, the disk space of the
storage domain is about 100 GB too small. With lvdisplay I can't see a
new volume and vgdisplay shows the correct values.
I attache the vdsm.log of the affected time from the SPM.
How can I get back the lost space?

I tried to use the reporting engine since Ovirt 3.2x.
But it didn't work on Centos systems. So it is an upgrade from an

The WEB-INF Folder has the following permission:

drwxr-xr-x 15 ovirt ovirt 4096 18. Jun 11:29
/var/tmp/ovirt-engine/deployments/ovirt-engine-reports.war/WEB-INF

How can I check if jboss is running with the ovirt user?
Isn't it a part of the ovirt-engine process? Ovirt-engine is running as
user ovirt.

The Host and the linux guest runs with CentOS 6.5.
on the oVirt Engine I run:

engine-config -s ClusterEmulatedMachines=rhel6.5.0,pc-1.0 --cver=3.3

I assume cluster version is 3.3.
did your restart engine post the engine-config command?

it is set according to the host capabilities and engine config,
it is not exposed to the user, so can only be changed in the db.

by default, the config for 3.3 is rhel-6.4, so this is what we set for the
cluster:
engine-config --get ClusterEmulatedMachines --cver 3.3
rhel6.4.0,pc-1.0,pseries

you can manually change in the db the emulation for a specific cluster:
update vds_groups set emulated_machine='rhel6.5.0' where name='cluster name';

Hi,
I try to install Windows 8 32 bit on our oVirt 3.3.2 environmet.
I googled that two CPU Flags (SEP and NX) have to be set.
But I cannot manipulate the CPU Flags in the GUI.
Is there an other way to set the SEP and NX Flags for the VM?

Best Regards,

Re: [Users] errors after node update

2013-12-30 Thread Michael Wagenknecht

Thank you Sander for the quick response.
I think I find the solution.
I have a node with vdsm-4.13.2-1.el6.x86_64 and a node with
vdsm-4.12.1-4.el6.x86_64.
If I migrade a guest from one node to the other, the excessive logging
starts.

If I restart the guest, the logging stops.

Re: [Users] Problem with DWH installation

2013-11-05 Thread Michael Wagenknecht

Hi Alex,
I can't find ovirt-engine-dwh-3.3 in the ovirt-release-el6 repo.
Can I only install it from the git tree?

Michael

Hi Michael

The dwh version you are trying to install is unfortunately no longer compatible
with ovirt-engine-3.3. You will need ovirt-engine-dwh-3.3 for it to work.

Alex.

Re: [Users] ovirt-shell can not connect

2013-05-08 Thread Michael Wagenknecht

Hi Michael,
Now it works. Thank you very much Michael.
But one last question. Is there a parameter in the .ovirtshellrc for the
ca certificate?

I tried ca-file but it didn't work.

Michael

Now I can connect when I run:
ovirt-shell -c -A ./ca.crt -l https://172.21.114.157/api -u internal\\admin

Then I try to use the .ovirtshellrc. I run:
ovirt-shell -c -A ./ca.crt

and get the following error:

please specify the port in url, also i see you using 'domain\\user'
format in username, the right format is 'user@domain', please see

my .ovirtshellrc is:

please update to 3.2.0.10-1, also the change you have mentioned was
added after ovirt-engine-cli-3.2.0.10 was released, - this is a part
of the 3.2.0.11-1 and this release requires .10 sdk, so either you have
baked rpm by yourself, or you using development installation,

anyway make sure you are upgrading to the latest artifacts:

sdk: release 3.2.0.10-1
cli: release 3.2.0.11-1

I'm trying to export a VM from KVM. It's a Fedora14 machine.
I run: virt-v2v -i libvirt -ic qemu+ssh://root@IP-Address/system -o
rhev -os nfs.domain.local:/ovirt/export -of qcow2 -oa sparse -n
ovirtmgmt VM_Name

It starts to buid the umage but in the end I have an error message:
virt-v2v: Failed to launch guestfs appliance. Try running again with
LIBGUESTFS_DEBUG=1 for more information

Something wrong with the guestfs?
