[ovirt-users] NAT in oVirt

2015-09-28 Thread lof yer
I am using oVirt 3.5 and have configured NAT by extnet hooks.
I'm suffering this situation:

vm: 192.168.122.160
host: 192.168.0.120
gateway: 192.168.0.1
vm can reach outside network but cannot reach host.

I've diff an original libvirt vm and a ovirt based vm but I cannot see any
obvious difference.

Please help me out of this...
Thank you very much.

This is the NAT configuration.

[ovirt-users] About NAT in libvirt default virbr0, it cannot reach LAN of host.

2015-05-25 Thread lof yer
Some users of mine are complaining about NAT in oVirt.
They said that vmware's NAT can reach LAN of host like 192.168.1.0/24, but
NAT(I use extnet.py in hooks, ie. 192.168.122.0/24) in oVirt cannot do that.
I've tried kinds of network in virt-manager like route, nat, isolated.

What's the difference between libvirt's NAT and VMWare's NAT?
What should I do to make libvirt's NAT reach LAN of the host?

[ovirt-users] When will ovirt add GPU/vGPU support in the admin portal ?

2015-01-18 Thread lof yer
Since I recently saw cloudstack have add this(
https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/CLOUDSTACK/GPU+and+vGPU+support+for+CloudStack+Guest+VMs
).
And iGVT(
https://01.org/zh/xen/blogs/wangbo85/2014/intel-gvt-gxengt-pubic-release?langredirect=1)
is released.
If ovirt add this, it'll be very competitive for ovirt in VDI platforms.

Seems like that you found a bug. I will investigate. Just for
correlation, could you please send me your vdsm.log from the hypervisor and
the engine.log and server.log from the engine host?

OK I think I know what's the problem.
In the application list must be the application name and version of the
guest agent, and I think that's not reported. I have to figure out how to
 solve this properly.

There's a work around though. At least for now please import the attached
reg file, that should give you at least for now a working SSO.

 Thanks

This is a very basic requirement. From the admin portal you can see
that the agent is running when it is reporting the IP of the guest os,

the application list is not empty.

 Sorry, it did not work.
And there is no monitor in IE(10) if the monitor type is SPICE now
even if I installed the SpiceX.cab.

Yes, when choosing Spice, monitor option is greyed out in the Console
 Options in my IE10.

Many people are using IE whose version is less than 11 for now, which I
think will last for a long time. Will it be possible to use spice in
 IE(8,9,10) in the near future?

that's spice.html5 which has an issue, not spice client (virtviewer) which
can be launched via mime based launch on windows for any browser

I Reproduced the flow on upstream code (fedora 17, firefox) and indeed it
 seems like a bug.

Would you like to open the bug and have the Honor of it carrying your

which version, which platform nad which repo used?

In my case with fedora 18, 3.2.1 and ovirt repo I'm unable to reproduce.
 Sub tabs are always shown.

[Users] OvirtGuestAgent in windows

2013-05-13 Thread lof yer
I tried 'python OvirtGuestService.py install' || 'net start
OvirtGuestService', it just logged me out and no ip was reported to the
engine. However, when I logged as any user on Windows using 'python
OvirtGuestService.py debug', it seemed to be working all fine(ip,
application... were reported) .

Someone said that the service must be started under a user, I tried make it
started with a user, like Administrator, LOCALSYSTEM, but an error reported.

Do I have other ways to make it run as a service?
