Very nice! Not sure what your plans are, but wanted to point out that
you can brand oVirt for your company. It might add a nice touch :)

It runs on IPv6, and I am looking for people to use the system, host

Data I am looking for

Connection Speed - Is it comparable to other services

User experience - Are there any changes recommended

Does it work for you - What does, and does not work for you.

I am trying to get funding to keep this a free resource for everyone to
use. (not from here:)

Re: [ovirt-users] Free Ovirt Powered Cloud

2014-12-18 Thread Donny Davis
Its in the works, but I personally have no problems leaving it oob. The
Ovirt developers worked very hard to create what they have, and I'm not
afraid to left their flag fly.

I just don't have the time right now to create all the graphics and what
not. I take my rhcsa tomorrow and I have been focused on that this month :)

My next step now that I see there is interest, I have plans to contact
datacenters all around and see if they will donate a server or two for the
cause. I know sounds ambious, but what can they tell me... no

Thanks for the kudos

I don't know if qemu/libvirt supports listening on 2 addresses. Too bad this
conversion has fallen off the mailing list, where someone could have helped
us with this question.

Our best option is if you can try this out. Use Ondrej's hook too add an
ipv6 address to a network, and see what libvirt does when a VM's display is
attached to such a network.

Please report your finding on-list!

Thanks! We should at least map what's working and what does not.

Just for the record, qemu's display can listen on all host addresses, or
a single address (ovirt uses the latter), but in no case can it listen
to one specific ipv4 address and another ipv6 address.

Bug 1038963 - [RFE] qemu can't listen on both IPv6 and IPv4
localhost for VNC

This looks great! :)

Do you also use IPv6 internally in your deployment? e.g. assign IPv6
addresses to your hosts, storage domain, power management etc.? We'd be
very interested to hear what works and what doesn't. And perhaps help
push forward what doesn't, if you need it :)

I just need information on user experience, machine performance, and network
connectivity. Does your machine do what you want it to do, can it host
services, is your uptime(network) with reason. Things that you would expect
a cloud provider to do.

Thanks and enjoy.

Donny.

I know this mailing list is for oVirt, but I also have openshift running as
well. Your creds are single sign on, so they will work for openshift too :)
