I will be attending tomorrow's oVirt IRC meeting to provide an update on upcoming oVirt workshops, but in the interim wanted to circulate a proposed agenda. I'm adding this to our agenda for tomorrow. Please note that we're planning one day workshops at LinuxCon Japan, North America and Europe, as well as a 2 day workshop at NetApp HQ in California (target date 8 and 9th August 2012). As we're discussing workshop agendas for the one day events, it would be good to have an idea of what we'd like to present given the additional day. Here is a *very* preliminary agenda: - intro arch - engine, vdsm deep dives - storage roadmap/discussion - network roadmap/discussion Open Questions: 1) What other topics should be covered during the workshop? oVirt Node is a core piece of oVirt. It may be wise to add it as a topic to cover, though who would present is a question. If it's something that we want to cover, then I'll need to request travel budget for someone to attend. +1 on the importance of ovirt-node. Not going into the traveling logistics, I think every proper presentation of oVirt projects should include an ovirt-node session. 2) Who would like to volunteer to be an instructor? Please note that we're planning one day workshops at LinuxCon Japan, North America and Europe, as well as a 2 day workshop at NetApp HQ in small correction - LinuxCon Japan just has an ovirt intro session, not a workshop. nothing bigger planned for LinuxCon NA as of yet, less we coordinate something (CFP closes June 1st - community members encouraged to submit papers) (it's also in California, two weeks after the workshop planned at Netapp) as for LinuxCon Europe, we'll be joining the 2.5 days KVM forum (which is after linuxcon date wise). plan is for joint sessions in the mornings and separate tracks in the afternoon.
