My host can actually be added manually. However it's status is Non
Responsive. I put it into Maintainence and Activate it again without any
success. Any idea how to debug the problem with a stateless host?

Yes, I see what you mean. What I can do is like this on three different
machines:
Browser (M1) - Ovirt-engine (M2) Ovirt-node
stateless (M3)
I can see the ovirt-engine GUI in the Browser on M1. But I can't login either
the User Portal or Admin
