[ovirt-users] OVIRT mirrors
Are the OVERT mirrors down? I am receiving the following error trying to update some of my systems. Errors during downloading metadata for repository 'ovirt-4.4': - Status code: 500 for https://mirrorlist.ovirt.org/mirrorlist-ovirt-4.4-el8 (IP: 8.43.85.224) Error: Failed to download metadata for repo 'ovirt-4.4': Cannot prepare internal mirrorlist: Status code: 500 for https://mirrorlist.ovirt.org/mirrorlist-ovirt-4.4-el8 (IP: 8.43.85.224) Going to the link: https://mirrorlist.ovirt.org/mirrorlist-ovirt-4.4-el8 Proxy Error The proxy server could not handle the request GET /mirrorlist-ovirt-4.4-el8. About the mirrorlist, I think Ewoud is right, it should be only a matter of dropping a static text file with the list and change yum repo config for pointing to the mirror list. Would it be an idea to keep a mirrorlist file? AFAIK it's as simple as dropping a static file at a well known place with one URL per line. Yum can do the heavy lifting of determining the fastest mirror. Additionally I'd really like some clear instructions of how to set up a mirror and get it published as public mirror. We should ensure we have GPG-signed packages though. IIRC someone was working on this. Anyone has more information about this?
