In the integrator you can override the TZ settings to be used by sogo.
You probably did not customize that setting in the integrator. (It defaults
to the tz of the inverse HQ)

the only difference is:
on CentOS 5.5, I use compat-libevent-11a-3.2.1-1.el5.rf.i386.rpm

try their (inverse) rpms just to see if they work on your 5.3 install.
