But you don't get shared calendars/contacts when using AS, only your
personal calendar and contacts - this is a no go for us.

I am testing the connection between Android phone (v4.4.4) and Sogo demo
(using ex. sogo1 account).
Apart from the DMFS client from the Google Play Store it appears from
the documentation that also MS Active Synch should work. When I
configure in Android settings-Accounts-Email
