I can't find anything exactly referencing this in the list archives. I
apologize if it has already been covered. (New subscriber here.)
When in the Invite Attendees dialog, it is my assumption that the Free/Busy
indicator for attendees (once added) works regardless of whether or not

No, the user has to great view date time to others, or the calendar
default roles must be set accordingly.
