thanks for the answer. But that was exactly what I did to delete a user.
The tables remain after
a.) a user deletes his calendar/addressbook
b.) a user gets deleted via sogo-tool remove
Any other suggestions?

Ian, thank you for reminding me about this issue. I found out, that the
sogo db user had rights to create, delete, etc., but not to drop!
Now tables are deleted in the database and I guess I will have to filter
and drop those orphaned ones myself.

I found that my sogo mysql database has 179 tables.
5 of them are used for account data, namely:
sogo_folder_info
sogo_sessions_folder
sogo_user_profile
sogousers
sogousersource (actually this a view)
The remaining 174 tables contain user content and appear in a group of 3
tables name
