Just for your information: In case you delete Calendars in SOGo but do not remove these calendars in Lightning (1.0b2) it will loop forever. Lightning does not accept the 404 (not found) issued and reloads and reloads and reloads - resulting in 100% CPU from sogod. [SOGo] Problems with web interface and calendars (from previous versions of sogo)
Hi, When I updated to Sogo 1.3.3 (from yum-repo on centos5.4) I can't access my calendars from the web interface. The calendars shows up under calendars, but I can't see any of the events, apointments etc. When trying to access calendars from the web interface i get the following error in the sogo log. ERROR: column a.c_category does not exist. When creating an appointment from the web interface it will not show up in the web interface, but it will show up in thunderbird+lightning. I tried running the updatedb scripts from /usr/share/doc/sogo-1.3* but nothing seemed to help. When running the updatedb-scripts I always get the error: ERROR: column c_quick_location does not exist Regardless of what updatedb script I use (I got desperate and tried them all) except for the mysql-versions, since I use postgresql. And looking into the scripts it looks like the sql-update-1.2.2_to_1.3.0.sh tries to add the column c_category. But why is it failing? It complains like all the other scripts about c_quick_location and is silent about anything else. I updated directy from the 1.2.x to 1.3.3 and not 1.3.0 first, if that might matter somehow? And one more thing I have found out, is that if I create a new calendar under my account it works like it should. But the the big problem (except the hassell of asking everyone to export there calendars and then import them again is that I can't delete the Personal Calendar. Is there a way to do this? But I would rather have a nice sollution that fixes the data in my tables rather than asking everyone to export, delete and then import :P And also, I updated today to 1.3.4 and run the 1.3.3-1.3.4 update script. It complains about the c_quick_location error as well. Best Regards Anders Wallin -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists

Re: [SOGo] ANN: SOGo v1.3.4 and CAS problem
Hello, We updated our sogo installation today from 1.3.3 to 1.3.4, as well as sope with 4.9-20101117_1664 packages, on a centos 5.4. Sogo was configured to use our cas server, but since the upgrade, sogo is unable to forge a correct url, it redirects to the cas server using that request : https:///cas/%28nil%29:NO/SOGo/so/?ticket=ST-3369-wrPatNYsV3hYntbqHEpU %28 and %29 are parenthesis. Obviously, the cas server is not happy with that. There is nothing relevant in the logs, and the configuration in apache is the same as for the 1.3.3. I checked in the documentation and changelog to see if some cas-related parameters were changed, in vain. Or the need of installing additional extensions that brought in more trouble and needed hacking of the XPI files but did not fix anything for my usage. I don't care about address books and all fancy stuff but only need a *working* calender interface to Sogo where I can select which calender gets used for invitations I receive, where I can modify entries that I received to turn off silly alarms, where I can accept invitations without the need to save ICS files manually and calender entries that will not generate errors when I sync them via Funambol and Synthesis to my phone. In the end, path of least effort. cheers afx -- atsec information security GmbH, Steinstrasse 70, D-81667 München, Germany Phone: +49-89-44249830 / Fax: +49-89-44249831 / Web: atsec.com HRB: 129439 (Amtsgericht München) / Geschäftsführer: Salvatore la Pietra, Staffan Persson -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists

I forgot something: With SOGo Lightning I often have the problem that I doubleclick on a calendar entry do get the details but the window won't open. Do you get an exception in the javascript console when this happens? At least this works here with the normal Lightning without a problem. I don't understand the different paradigma of Lightning. Look at Apple iCal. It will ask for all available calendars and delegations and will include them automatically. Why can't Lightning do that? Why you have to enter each Calender with is corresponding CalDAL URL? You could get all these URLs simply by doing the right PROPFIND on the Calendar root. Funny enough, Lightning DOES recurse the URL to /SOGo/dav/, requesting a PROPFIND at every stage - but it does not see to use informations from there. I presume it looks for an CalDAV Inbox and Outbox. That's the way lightning works. We know it's quite limited but changing that would require a lot of changes and probably endless discussions with the Lightning team... Instead, the list of folders (both calendars and addressbooks) is automatically replicated at startup when using SOGo Integrator. One of the advantages of SOGo Integrator is to never require the entering of a DAV url from the users... [SOGo] SOGo + External E-Mail Service + Different Password
Hi All, Thanks to Francis, I've set up SOGo and it works perfect, but now, I've another question, is it possible to use different passwords for authenticate and login into the mail service, I can see the password field on preferences, but it's using the same to authenticate in sogo. I would like to leave that field free to edit and put my email password... I've no connection between my email system and the LDAP I'm using for sogo. Thanks in advance. Re: [SOGo] SOGo + External E-Mail Service + Different Password
Hi Ludovic, It cross to my mind... and it will be awesome... because I don't see the need of an LDAP if I can use the IMAP to authenticate. My IMAP users authenticate separately from my AD domain users. If the email password is the same for both accounts, SOGo email works out of the box. One thing we could eventually support is an IMAP-based authentication source, something like: sogod SOGoUserSources '( { type = ldap; CNFieldName = cn; IDFieldName = uid; UIDFieldName = uid; baseDN = ou=people,dc=inverse,dc=ca; canAuthenticate = NO; displayName = Shared Addresses; hostname = ldap.inverse.ca; id = public; isAddressBook = YES; }, { type = imap; hostname = imap://imap.inverse.ca; canAuthenticate = YES; } )' This should be quite easy to add.
