Thunderbird didn't think my certificates were "up to par" on startup, so I was having to manually accept them. When I was doing that, the Integrator would "spin". I took the time to import my certificates and set Thunderbird to accept them, and then Integrator took off. One could/should also take the time to make sure their certificates are good. Maybe post your updates.php and the change you made to Integrator's "extensions.rdf" file if you're still having problems. SSL... yep. And that appeared to be it. I had already added the exception for my site but it didn't like it. I let it be for a while and once I came back, fired up thunderbird, and all was well. Seems like this may be what we need for end users. Thanks for all the assistance! Donny B. MDAH -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists

I think I have it installed now. I setup the integrator and update server according to the documentation. Once I made my IMAP account default (rather than local folders that gave me user 'nobody') I am able to log in and see my screens. Now the only issue is that thunderbird just sits there doing nothing. I cannot click on anything and the little connecting wheel stays spinning, like it is connecting, on the top right corner. What can I check to see what could be wrong? Without lightning, integrator, and connector thunderbird runs fine. -- Donny B. It appears as though I will just have to move each users thunderbird profile to their My Documents folder which is just a mapped drive on the server so it will not traverse when they log in/out. Thanks for the input though. I am about to try the integrator now and see how that works. Donny B. MDAH -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists

[SOGo] Help on configuring Thunderbird
Hi everybody this may well be something very simple, but I am not able to make it working. I am on Ubuntu 10.04. I am running Thunderbird 3.1.7 I downloaded the sogo-connector-3.104.xpi plugin and installed on a NEW Thunderbird profile. >From there, the PREFERENCES Button in the "Plugin list" of Thunderbird is greyed out. So apparently I cannot set any "plugin wide" preference. I want to integrate a remote CardDav server for which I have an url of the type: http://this.that.com/cardav/users/my_username/Contacts (of course I have a username and password also for accessing) I only need to integrate CONTACTS Could you pls help me STEP BY STEP on using the Thiunderbird+SOGO GUI in order to properly see my remote CardDav server ? Thanks so much Best regards /Stefano -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists

No, with "keep a local copy of messages" unchecked, Thunderbird downloads only messages header. And the autoconfiguration also helps initial deployment. https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Thunderbird/Autoconfiguration So the users only have to enter email address and password, then thunderbird does automatically select the correct servernames, ports ssl etc. stuff. Then only the integrator addon has to be installed and the client is up and running. André -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists
