 Betreff: [SOGo] ANN: SOGo v1.3.7

The Inverse Team is pleased to announce the immediate availability of
SOGo 1.3.7. This is a minor release of SOGo which focuses on small new
features and improved stability over previous versions.

 === What is SOGo ===

SOGo is a free and modern scalable groupware server. It offers shared
calendars, address books and emails through your favorite Web browser or
by using a native client such as Mozilla Thunderbird and Lightning.

SOGo is standard-compliant and supports CalDAV, CardDAV, GroupDAV and
reuses existing IMAP, SMTP and database servers - making the solution
easy to deploy and interoperable with many applications.

 SOGo features :

   * Scalable architecture suitable for deployments from dozen to many
 thousand users
   * Rich Web-based interface that shares the look and feel, the features
and the data of Mozilla Thunderbird and Lightning
   * Improved integration with Mozilla Thunderbird and Lightning by using
the SOGo Connector and the SOGo Integrator
   * Two-way synchronization support with any SyncML-capable devices
(BlackBerry, Palm, Windows CE, etc.) by using the Funambol SOGo Connector
   * Excellent integration with Apple iCal 3/4 and Apple iPhone OS 3/4

and many more! SOGo and our connectors are completely free.

=== Changes from the previous release ===

 New Features

   * IMAP namespaces are now translated and the full name of the mailbox
owner is extracted under Other Users
   * added the authenticationFilter parameter for SQL-based sources to
limit who can authenticate to a local SOGo instance
   * added the IMAPLoginFieldName parameter in authentication sources
to specify a different value for IMAP authentication
   * added support for resources like projectors, conference rooms and
more which allows SOGo to avoid double-booking of them and also allows
SOGo to automatically accept invitations for them

 Enhancements

   * the personal calendar in iCal is now placed at the very top
   * the recipients selection works more like Thunderbird when composing
 emails
   * improved the documentation regarding groups in LDAP
   * packages for Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6 are now available
   * minor improvements to the webmail module
   * minor improvements to the contacts web module

 Bug Fixes

   * selection problems with Chrome under OS X in the webmail interface
   * crash when some events had no end date

 See http://www.sogo.nu/bugs/changelog_page.php?project_id=1 for the
 change log.

[SOGo] Proxy-Error Webmailclient after update to 1.3.7

2011-05-04 Thread Martin Rabl

Hi,

after updating SOGo to 1.3.7 the Webmailclient does not run anymore
(Before, with 1.3.6, it runs quite good).
The only you get is the Mail-View, but without all Folders (in the
Folder view left) and Messages in the Message view.

Looking into the http stream shows an 502 Proxy Error.

The Apache-Error-Log says something like
proxy: error reading status line form remote server 127.0.0.1
and
proxy: Error reading from remote server returned by
/SOGo/so/mra/Mail/0/mailboxes

OS is Ubuntu 10.04, Login into dovecot runs (no error)

A logfile of the request for the Mail-View you will find at
http://www.rablnet.de/sogo-logs/sogo-imap-session.log

Any idea where the error could be? Configuration wasn't changed, as I
said: before update it runs.

Thanks,
  Martin

I am quite happy with http://dmfs.org/carddav/ and

He is answering mails and trying to help out for me that is woth two

Hello André,

I've asked the author and he says:
-
currently there is only a free as in beer version of CardDAV-Sync. The
DAViCal Wiki entry has been written by an user not by me.
As my website states I'm planning to make both of them open source once
they are worth it. I don't want to open the code right now because it is
just not ready to be published.
By not ready I mean that I'm still in the process of finding an
architecture and defining interfaces. My plan is to put some stuff in
separate libraries and publish them under GPL on Sourceforge as soon as
I think its interface (and most of its implementations) is good enough.

I like when it's OSS, for me it's not so important if it's freeware.

[SOGo] Synchronisation with Thunderbird after Facebook Synchronisation with iPhone

2011-05-04 Thread Florian Hohaus
Hello,

I’m new at SOGo, but first of all I want to say that SOGo is a great project.
We use SOGo on our private mail system. I synchronised all the time via
Funambol with my Windows Mobile Phone. It works very fine.
Now I get an iPhone 4. Calendar synchronisation works very fine with CalDAV.
The first synchronisation with Contacts works fine too (CardDAV).
After that synchronisation I synchronised my Contacts with Facebook. Now I have
in every Facebook Contact an Entry in Field Homepage like this:
“fb://profile/profileNumber”
After that time I can’t synchronise my Contacts which includes a
Facebook-Connection with my Thunderbird. It only synchronise the Contacts
without Facebook-Connection.
Does anyone have an idea what’s wrong here and how can I solve this Problem?

Thanks a lot,
Florian

only the display part of the name.

Please show headers of the mails causing you problems, not of this list.

I just noted a small difference:

In TB hitting reply all on messages of this list, we get TO:
thislist and CC: original poster address
In Sogo webmail, we only have the TO: , the original poster is not put
in the cc

I don't think all of your packages updated properly. I see could not
create bundle for path:
'/usr/share/GNUstep/Libraries/gnustep-base/Versions/1.19/Resources/SSL.bundle'

The UTF-8 stuff is because of the é in my name (Not part of the address

Please show headers of the mails causing you problems, not of this list.

I just noted a small difference:

In TB hitting reply all on messages of this list, we get TO:

In Sogo webmail, we only have the TO: , the original poster is not put

Re: [SOGo] Tbird Linux SSL Error

2011-05-04 Thread Ben
Ok, I'm not 100% sure, but I'm pretty sure this issue with the Error
code: sec_error_bad_signature is related to adding the line:

ProxyPass /principals/ http://127.0.0.1:2/SOGo/dav/ interpolate

to my SOGo.conf for apache2. With that line, after ~1 week, I
intermittently get that error until I restart apache2 (t-bird or web
mail). Without out, I seem not to. When I have that line, I also get the
warning:

[warn] worker http://127.0.0.1:2/SOGo already used by another worker

but from what I've ready that is just a warning because in general,
apache isn't expecting to have different aliases to the same proxy.

I've noticed that the latest documentation does not say to use that
ProxyPass line (except for Apple Addressbook on port 8800) while before
it was mentioned for iOS mobile calendar access. Any consequences to
just removing the line?

Also, could this be related to running apache2-mom-worker instead of
prefork? This is on debian 5.0 (Lenny)

Thanks,

Ben

I don't think it is related to networking, as I have the same problem

others, every calendar refresh I get

(Error code: sec_error_bad_signature)

I get no errors on the server (either sogo or apache). Running T-bird
on the same machine on Windows (virtualbox) does not reproduce the
problem. Also, no problems when accessing calendars over caldav
(https) on evolution. I'm thinking this is a lightning on Linux
(64bit?) issue.

Any idea of what is going on? I wonder if this 'problem' is there on
windows as well, but windows doesn't display a error message and just
does a retry or something to that effect. I upgrade from 1.3.5a to
1.3.6 and the just-posted integrator and connector and it makes no
difference. Any help would be appreciated, it is very annoying to
click ok to 5 pop-ups every 10 minutes.

frequently get the error message:

An error occurred during a connection to mail.server.com:443.

Peer's certificate has an invalid signature.

(Error code: sec_error_bad_signature)

this happens to many of the calendar's that I'm subscribed to. Not
every calendar every time it makes a connection, but maybe half the
time t-bird does a refresh 1-4 calendars have this issues. Not all
the same calendars, and some times it is fine. My ssl certs are fine
-- this works from windows computers and web browser, etc.

The command line error message from t-bird is:

The problem I'm having is only one location, so it could be some
packets getting mangled, but as I said I didn't have this problem
with evolution (using caldav to access calendars) or via a web
browser -- any ideas? The sogo and apache logs just show the dav
connections to

https://mail.server.com/SOGo/dav/user2/Calendar/user_personal/

with no errors.

This is an IMAP namespace problem. Sniff the traffic between SOGo and
Dovecot and tell me the result of the NAMESPACE command.

Re: [SOGo] Auto-complete Address

2011-05-04 Thread Ben
Yeah, it's annoying and I don't know a good way to track it down. When I
get the problem (even on a LAN connection to the server, so I think the
issue may be not in the network, but in how long it takes the server to
process something), I see repeated carddav requests in my apache log:

192.168.0.X - - [04/May/2011:12:48:31 -0600] REPORT
/SOGo/dav/username/Contacts/public/ HTTP/1.1 207 126 - Mozilla/5.0
(Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.13) Gecko/20101207
Lightning/1.0b2.105i Thunderbird/3.1.7

Roughly 1 per second. But I think that's right... it is doing a search
of contacts against what is typed and if I'm trying a character a
second, once a second it does a new search with the updated info. The
main issue is why t-bird drops characters I type while this is
happening. I just added another global (readonly) sql addressbook and
things seemed to get worse... even though this db has only one entry in
it. Also, it isn't consistent... sometimes the speed is fine and I
haven't found out what triggers it to be bad sometimes.

If anyone has ideas on how to debug / track down, that would be greatly
appreciated.

Ben

Very cyclic question, someone having this problem should post a
trace on

the bug.

I tried doing a trace as described in the bugreport. But I don't get any
log using (NSPR_LOG_MODULES=timestamp,ldap:5). Wiht smtp:5 or all:5 I
get some logs but nothing regarding ldap. Do the Plugins from sogo
change some behaviour there?

I think one wants to log the carddav traffic as I believe it is the
query to the carddav addressbook that is causing the problems.
Unfortunately, I haven't figured out how to do that.

Tracing ldap does not help, tracing http gives a lot of traffic.
But perhaps having a debug build of thunderbird can give more details...
But so far I did not find a location to download

https://wiki.mozilla.org/MailNews:Logging

especially on the ldapautocomplete (Hoping it shares the same code as
the carddav address books)

[SOGo] Display entries of LDAP address book

2011-05-04 Thread eric.guimont
Hi !

Is it possible to display entries of LDAP address book by default ?

I found this - http://www.sogo.nu/bugs/view.php?id=438 - and apply the patch
but it's not working.

I use version 1.35, is it include in newer versions or am I missing something ?

Thanks !

The server provides three namespaces private, public and shared.
For testing I disabled the namespace shared-configuratoin and restarted
dovecot - now SOGo has no problems anymore.

But, the shared NS is needed, so I try to sniff the traffic ASAP (do you have a
