[SOGo] Sogo, Funambol and Nokia sync

2011-10-04 Thread jreg2k
Hi,

I try to sync my nokia e72 with a personnal sogo/funambol server. The funambol
client provides by Ovi store is cool but do not implement https and that is
very bad,

I want to synchronise my phone calendar with my sogo calendar. I read that
there is a way to do that with the Nokia sync application.

Does anyone can help me ? I want a (simple) method to sync (in a secure way)
may phone and my sogo calendar.

Thanks and excuse my poor english :-)

hi,

there is a function similar to the requested one.

right click a email -- click transform to -- new task/event

if this is enough :)

cheers.

True but this is in Lightning. SOGo doesn't have such feature right now.
A RFE could be filed on sogo.nu/bugs for this.

Thanks,

[SOGo] ANN: SOGo v2.0.0beta1 with Native Outlook Compatibility

2011-10-04 Thread Ludovic Marcotte
Inverse is proud to announce the first prerelease of SOGo v2.0.0 with
native Microsoft Outlook compatibility.

This prerelease allows Microsoft Outlook 2003, 2007 or 2010 to talk
directly to SOGo - just like if it was a Microsoft Exchange server. No
plugins are required for Microsoft Outlook to make this work.

Since it is a prerelease, it will be distributed as source only.
Packages for most distributions will be offered in upcoming beta
releases. Nonetheless, the Zero Effort Groupware (ZEG) virtual
appliance is available for testing purposes.

The virtual appliance consists of the latest development version of
SOGo, SOPE and OpenChange, properly installed and configured. Note that
the native Microsoft Outlook compatibility is still a prerelease. The
fundamentals have been developed and should suit normal end-users.
Progress towards the final version will be fast from now on.

== Getting it ==

To download SOGo ZEG v2.0.0beta1, simply point your browser to
http://www.sogo.nu/english/downloads/zeg.html

Look for Virtual Appliance - Native Outlook Compatibility.

For configuration instructions, or if you prefer to install everything
from source, please refer to the SOGo - Native Microsoft Outlook
Configuration guide available from
http://www.sogo.nu/downloads/documentation.html

== Changes ==

Here is the list of changes performed by the Inverse team on SOGo/SOPE
and that will be part of the upcoming 1.3.9 release :

 * new user defaults SOGoDefaultCalendar to specify which calendar is
used when creating an event or a task (selected, personal, first enabled)
 * new user defaults SOGoBusyOffHours to specify if off-hours should be
automatically added to the free-busy information

 * phone numbers in the contacts web module are now links (tel:)
 * revamp of the modules link banner (15-pixel taller)

Here is a list of changes performed by the Inverse team on native
Outlook compatibility since TP12 was released :

 * Fixed most issues regarding the use of Microsoft Outlook in cached mode
 * Fixed most issues that could lead to crashes in OpenChange
 * Fixed most issues regarding the handling of event invitations
 * Mapped almost all properties between SOGo and Microsoft Outlook
 * Enhanced performance

== Upcoming improvements ==

The follow improvements will occur in the next following days, likely
resulting in a beta 2 :

 * Freebusy lookups for attendees during event invitations
 * Sharing resources between users
 * Handling of event reminders

Please see the SOGo - Native Microsoft Outlook Configuration guide for
current known issues or limitations. Those will be overcome in upcoming
beta releases.

== Installation / Update ==

For now, you cannot update from TP12 or any other previous versions to
2.0.0beta1. You have to download 2.0.0beta1.

If you prefer to install everything from source, please refer to the
SOGo - Native Microsoft Outlook Configuration guide.

In the SOGo 2.0.0beta virtual appliance, sources for OpenChange, SOGo
and SOPE are in /home/sogo. If you want to completely reinitialize the
OpenChange profiles for the sogo1..3 users, simply run the
/home/sogo/oc-cleanup-reinit.sh, as root.

== Helping Out ==

There are many ways you can help us. You can:

 * Tests with Outlook 2003, 2007 and 2010 and send us detailed reports.
Bugs should be filed at http://www.sogo.nu/bugs/ in the SOGo Native
Outlook Compatibility project

 * Spread the good word about this beta release!
 * Follow our development in the users@sogo.nu mailing list and update
regularly the components mentioned above
 * Contact us if you want to sponsor specific features with regard to
Outlook / SOGo compatibility
