You have to add all accounts under Preferences -- IMAP Accounts.
Then you can choose, which one to use on writing emails.

Fwd: [SOGo] Editing default imap info

2011-12-13 Thread Dominique

Bump... Anyone at inverse ?

Hi,

After a more than due time I updated my mail server to support ssl/tls.
The problem is that I cannot acces my mail in SOGo Webmail anymore. The
port value was initially set at 143. In prefs, the values are greyed
out, making changes impossible. I change the default value in the
GNUstepDefault file, but it does not update the values currently in use.
Where can I edit this value and change it from 143 to 993 ?

Thanks for the help,

If you have webmin, you can go at SOGo Server, IMAP configuration and then
in IMAP server must be of the form

so, according to it (I have not tried it, but this is how it should be)

imaps://hostname.example.com:993/tls?YES

Check your Logfile /var/log/sogo/sogo.log - restart all services like

Yeah, I forgot to restart memcached. At least now I did it, it works
much better, thanks.

Re: [SOGo] Editing default imap info

2011-12-13 Thread Dominique

Stavros

I did look through the file itself and through Webmin.
That only changes the default value, like editing the file itself
directly. The problem lies with already configured users. In that case,
changing the value in the config file does not change what is already
setup...

[SOGo] dead entries in calendar (from 1.3.10)

Hallo

From several problems with 1.3.10 I have some dead entries in my

What is the recommended way to resync the calendar data from SOGo to

You can simply close Thunderbird, remove the content of your
calendar-data from your Thunderbird profile and restart it. It'll pull
 back everything from the server.

OK, that did it. Is there no easy option (for simplicity and
inexperienced user)? And is there a similar way for the address book? I
once removed the abook files by accident and my address book was empty
after restart.

However, in the owner's calender the lock icon is not placed at this event.

When another user opens such a private event, he receives an error [1].

The issue can be resolved for a single event by opening and resaving it: The

To fix this issue for now, I would also run an SQL statement if necessary, but

It is not important, as SOGo 2 will have native Outlook synchronisation
via OpenChange. With this you don't need Funambol anymore.

In our opinion (University of Konstanz) fixing this is a waste of

 Via IMAP, CalDAV and CardDAV.

Only Windows and Symbian Phones don't currently work with these at all.
But Windows Phones should work with native Exchange support through
 OpenChange too.

But what about Symbian? They still need Funambol, right?

Yes.

 Yes.

Is there a pan to address that limitation? It would be nice to get
rid of Funambol.

[SOGo] ldap filter problem (mail=*)

2011-12-13 Thread Ben Luey
I want to filter out which ldap accounts have access to sogo. Under t
SogoUserSources in GNUstepDefaults, I have the line

filter = (objectClass=uidObject );

and that works great. But I want to filter on the existence of the
attribute mail , like:

filter = (objectClass=uidObject and mail=* );

and does not work but gives the error shown below in the logs. I've
tried escaping the * character (mail=\*) as I think the asterisk is
the problem, but I get the same error. Any ideas?

Re: [SOGo] ldap filter problem (mail=*)

2011-12-13 Thread Ben Luey

attribute mail , like:

filter = (objectClass=uidObject and mail=* );

This works great for me:

 keyfilter/key
 string(objectClass='PostfixBookMailAccount' AND mailEnabled='TRUE' AND
sogoEnabled='TRUE')/string

Right, I believe the problem is the '*' wildcard I'm using. If there is
another way to filter ldap based on the existence of an attribute (mail
in this case), that would be a solution as well. I'm trying to avoid
editing all my ldap entries to put a redundant field (sogoEnabled=True)
for every entry that has mail= attribute.

Thanks,

Ben

I don't think there will be much effort for this.
The best way would probably be to have some native symbian
caldav/cardav client,

so they can access sogo without anything else.

But I'm not sure symbian is a platform where new apps are developed...

BTW: We have a (mostly) working z-push connector, so you could use it
like a active sync server

Re: [SOGo] Importing Private Events

2011-12-13 Thread Mirko Stoffers
Now, I started a precious discussion on the future of Funambol which actually was not my
intention ;)

Back to my problem:

I figured out there are tow tables: jdoe123 and jdoe123_quick . Two my point of view jdoe123
contains correct data, i.e. there is an entry CLASS:PRIVATE in the vcal blob. However, the
entries in jdoe123_quick differ from really private appointments in the sense that there are
three flags zero instead of one: c_classification, c_isopaque, and c_status. I guess one of
those flags is the one causing the trouble.

So my question: Is there a way to make SOGo recompute this jdoe123_quick table from the
entries in jdoe123?

Thanks,

Mirko

It is not important, as SOGo 2 will have native Outlook synchronisation
via OpenChange. With this you don't need Funambol anymore.

In our opinion (University of Konstanz) fixing this is a waste of
development time.

Hm, yes, maybe you're right. But can you nevertheless tell me how to get my
database right?
I actually don't know what went wrong. There is an entry saying
CLASS:PRIVATE\r in the
vcal entry in the database. However, there must be another kind of private tag
anywhere else
that is not set up appropriately.

Thanks,

Mirko

RE: [SOGo] Confused by what LDAP attribute SOGO uses for web interface login credentials VS what LDAP attribute SOGO uses to show folders once logged in.

2011-12-13 Thread Paul Mecham
You are correct and thank you for the correction. If I use users it actually
works by creating another folder. If I use user then I get a permission
denied message back from cyradm. Can you shed any light on my other question?

Thank you.

If sogo uses the mail attribute when logged in it doesn't show any of
the folders that should be there inbox, drafts, etc and I'm not able
to use the cyradm utility to add the folders to the user's email
address.  Trying a cyrus administration command like:

 cm users.pmec...@rvscapes.com.inbox

 cm users.pmec...@rvscapes.com.drafts

Shouldn't this be:

cm user.pmec...@rvscapes.com (inbox is default) cm
user.pmecham.dra...@rvscapes.com (other folders like this)

I was not only referring to the use of user vs users, but also the
ordering of the folder. You placed drafts after the entire email
address when it should be after the user portion of the email address.
And, inbox is not required as it is the top-level folder. I also
assume that you are using altnamespace: yes in your cyrus config.

You are correct in your assumption that UIDFieldName corresponds to
the login and MailFieldNames corresponds to the email addresses,
however, by how your cyrus install is setup, both are the same. You
would login to cyrus with your email address. If you use that type of
setup, you'll need to set UIDFieldName and MailFieldName as the email
address.

Re: [SOGo] Importing Private Events

2011-12-13 Thread Mirko Stoffers
Ok, whatsoever. Since I could not figure out how to force SOGo to recreate the _quick
relation, I created a script to do it for me, now.

Just in case other people have similar problems, I attached the script to this mail. Please
be aware that this script might contain errors and cause everything to explode, or worse. I
highly recommend to make a database backup before!!! Nobody can hold me liable for any
damage this script might cause!

Regards,

Mirko

PS: It actually was the c_classification field that is not correctly set by
Funambol.
