yes, that is true to have easy access to the xml and avoid errors.
But for overview and learning an XML-Tool with XML-Folding is better suited.

Hi Sebastian,
you can use emacs, which has built in XML validation and editing of
XMLs. The most comfortable tool is Eclipse with the XML perspective.

I recommend not to edit the file directly. Use "defaults write sogod …" as
described in the documentation :)

you don't have to log in as 'room1' (if that user doesn't have a
password for example). just log in as an administrator and under the
administration tab, search for 'room1' and open (click on the + sign)
the calendar for that user.
