[SOGo] Misunderstanding SOGo
I have installed SOGo on one of the many FreeBSD boxes that I manage and I am kinda failing to understand something when it comes to Multi-domains setup. Here are my clueless moments: First, my config is availavle here - http://goo.gl/lpKZk This is a virtual domains setup, with MySQL. Users authenticate with username@domain as userid, with their password. The following parameters confuse the hell out of me: SOGoEnableDomainBasedUID = YES; SOGoDomainsVisibility = ((domain1,domain2)); SOGoLoginDomains = (domain1,domain1); (a) Since my users already login with full e-mail address as c_uid, I suppose SOGoEnableDomainBasedUID is not applicable in my case, right?? (b) SOGoLoginDomains - this gives me a dropdownlist from the login page, but then I cannot just enter username (without the @domain), as authentication fails. Is this parameter expected to concat username and @domain selected from the dropdownlist, or where am I going wrong? (c) SOGoDomainsVisibility Parameter used to set domains visible among themselves. For what purpose is this visibility? When defining specific domains, can I use a shortname to introduce the domain, much like a placeholder, then define the full domain name in SOGoMailDomain, like below, or must I use FQDN everywhere? domains = { crownkenya = { SOGoMailDomain = crownkenya.com; . -- Best regards, Odhiambo WASHINGTON, Nairobi,KE +254733744121/+254722743223 I can't hear you -- I'm using the scrambler. -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists

With it's web interface it's very easy to get it to do all the things it's capable of such as file sharing, email and hosting the companies website. (I can't say the same about ClearOS 6) The 'Internet' defines lots of things for us, like how websites work, how email works and how DNS works. What it does not define is how address books work. All I want is a simple centralised database of email addresses that is shared by all email users in the company. Back in the 90's there was a fantastic thing called Lotus Notes which was the ultimate groupware. There are no open standards to let you create one in Linux. [SOGo] Tasks and Reminders - Funambol, eM Client, Web Interface
Hi all, Can someone tell me if the following is a bug or not? I've just got Funambol up and running for my Windows Mobile 6.1 device, and when synchronizing tasks to SOGo I'm getting 'odd' behaviour where the tasks end up in the phone's Calendar as well as the phone's Tasks application. In the Calendar they're all set to the same time, an hour ahead of when they sync'd. It may be relevant that I'm using eM Client. In eM Client the tasks have reminders and that's where I set them but I've noticed in the SOGo web interface that there are no reminders on the tasks. It also might be relevant that though the tasks appear in the phone's Calendar as well as the Tasks app, in eM Client and the web interface the tasks don't appear in the calendars, only in the Tasks areas.
