[SOGo] SOGo Connector 17.0.5 and TB 17.0.7 crashes during initial address book loads

2013-07-05 Thread RKn

Hi,

I'm using SOGo Connector 17.0.5 with TB 17.0.7, Lightning 1.9.1 at a WIN
7 SP1 German PC connected to my ownCloud installation.

For the migration of my local address books to ownCloud a new empty
address book is created in ownCloud and a new remote address book in TB
is made pointing to the new in ownCloud.

So far so good.

Moving all local addresses to the new remote address book will work only
with a small amount (about 50 contacts).
But it will fail if I move a address book with about 218 contacts.

TB crashes. After a restart, contact duplications occurs in ownCloud and
synchronization seem to run in a loop producing double contacts to ownCloud.

Moving the 218 contacts in parts of max. 50 contacts, waiting some time
for sync to ownCloud finished, works for me.

Is there a known limitation of the numbers of new contacts a sync can
handle in one session?

Thanks

Ralf

[SOGo] SOGo Connector, what triggers sync activity?

2013-07-05 Thread RKn

Hi,

I'm using SOGo Connector 17.0.5 with TB 17.0.7, Lightning 1.9.1,
connected to my ownCloud installation.
I have 2 installations, one under WIN XP SP3 German and the other under
WIN 7 SP1 German.
A WindowsMobile Device is syncing with the XP PC, using BirdieSync.

Synchronization works in general.
Investigation in missing contacts or missing changes to contacts ends in
detecting deferred sync of that changes between TB an ownCloud.

These deferred syncs are coming from the WindowsMobile Device by BirdieSync.
After a manually sync now, the changes will propagated to/from
ownCloud within seconds (mostly).
Making changes using TB's address book, starts syncing, but selective
for the changes contact only.

Ouestions:
What are triggers SOGo Connector to sync to or from the defined
CardDAV-Server?

Probably changes made by using TBs address book?

Changes to address book by BirdieSync not?

Is there a time setting to sync to/from server every n minutes?

On TB-startup a automatic sync will be started!?

Any way to tune a time trigger?

Thanks

Ralf

Firefox will let you do this but that doesn't help with word, excel, etc.

Affixa is a program I've seen mentioned in the past that does this.

[SOGo] Managing Ldap in ZEG and using ldapsearch

2013-07-05 Thread John Tolson
All,

I am trying to use the ldapsarch too to mange the ldap of the ZEG vmware
machine. Everything seems work great with webmin and ldap but when I use the
unix tool I get an error.

root@sogo:~# ldapsearch -x -D 'cn=admin,dc=example,dc=com' -W
Enter LDAP Password:
ldap_bind: Invalid credentials (49)

According to the landing page of the webmin for the ZEG the password is sogo.
Has anyone used the unix tools to manage the ldap and/or is there documentation
for managing the ldap. I am assuming ldap is used to manage domain, mail users
and mail user passwords.

Thanks ahead of time.

The ZEG manual says: the Samba LDAP listens on the TCP/389. The OpenLDAP
listens on the TCP/3389.

So, you need the -h and -p parameter:

ldapsearch -h localhost -p 3389

Or -H parameter:

ldapsearch -H ldap://localhost:3389

Or, if you want to access the real Samba 4 LDAP, you nedd to use
ldbsearch command and -U parameter:

ldbsearch -U administrator

instead of ldbsearch, or you need to samba credentials for the -D and -W
parameter.
So, the possibilities are endless... Just you need to know what are you
really want :)

didn't to the trick.

I've tried with another external imap-server (courier) and it worked great.
Only this stupid thing we use is not working. I think it's an exchange server
behind it.

  this?

  Hmm, these are valid characters.
  What's your problem with them?

  What character set are you using in SOGo?

  I selected None and English. Both have the same result.

 If you choose None in the login screen, then the one defined under
 Preferences is used.
 The default is English, so they are the same :-)
I see.

  Which language are you using?

  I use Thai Language.

 SOGo has no Thai translation yet, but this should not prevent it to
 display emails written in Thai.
I think so.

  What browser do you use?

  Any browser has the same result. I tried with IE, Opera on PC and Safari
  on Ipad.

  Do you have the needed fonts installed on this machine?
  I can use Thai Font with other program while I have problem with sogo WEB
  UI.

  Is this for emails, calendars or address books or all of them?
  Only mail. All the rest show Thai font correctly.

 Then it is either an email error or a display error in the preview area.

  Most of the problem mail came from Gmail.
  I found message source as:

  Content-Type: text/plain; charset=TIS-620
  Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64

 This one should work.
This is not.

  Another mail also came from Gmail.
  message source look like this:
  div dir=3Dltrpara;Ouml;sect;curren;Oslash;sup3;Euml;Aac=
  ute;Ugrave; sup1;Auml;Aacute;Aring;

 That is HTML garbage.
 It translates to:
 ¶Ö§¤Ø³ËÁÙ ¹ÄÁÅ
I see.

 Obviously, no one can read that.
 Who ever send this email got it wrong.

 Do receiving and displaying of emails in UTF-8 work for you?
 Can you send emails in Thai via SOGo?
Everything work well if both end use UTF8. Problem arrives when the sender
uses charset as TIS-620.
Web UI can display TIS-620 corectly on suject header but it is not in preview
windows.
Is this a bug or misconfig?

Is SOGO display the same font between subject header and preview windows?

 Kind regards,
 Christian Mack

Re: [SOGo] Misunderstanding SOGo

2013-07-05 Thread Mark Madere
Hi Odhiambo,

if your users login with their full email address (i.e.: u...@host.com), you do
not need to set these parameters:

SOGoEnableDomainBasedUID
SOGoDomainsVisibility
SOGoLoginDomains

These parameters effect the login page only. You may exclude them from your
config.

You can name your domains anything you want in your config. I ran into a
problem having the top entry, SOGoMailDomain, and id the same. I currently use
this strategy:

-DOMAIN- = {
SOGoMailDomain = DOMAIN;
SOGoUserSources = (
{
id = public-DOMAIN;
}
);
};

here is a sample from my config:

-hooktest2.com- = {
SOGoMailDomain = hooktest2.com;
SOGoUserSources = (
{
CNFieldName = cn;
IDFieldName = mail;
UIDFieldName = mail;
baseDN = mvd=hooktest2.com,o=domains,dc=expanding;
bindDN = cn=Manager,dc=expanding;
bindPassword = *;
canAuthenticate = YES;
displayName = Share Users;
filter = (objectClass='MaxwellMailAccount' AND
accountActive='TRUE' AND delete='FALSE');
hostname = mail.X.com;
id = public-hooktest2.com;
isAddressBook = YES;
port = 389;
type = ldap;
MailFieldNames = (mail,description);
}
);
};

 I have installed SOGo on one of the many FreeBSD boxes that I manage and I
 am kinda failing to understand something when it comes to Multi-domains
 setup.

 Here are my clueless moments:

 First, my config is availavle here - http://goo.gl/lpKZk

 This is a virtual domains setup, with MySQL. Users authenticate with
 username@domain as userid, with their password.

 The following parameters confuse the hell out of me:

 SOGoEnableDomainBasedUID = YES;
 SOGoDomainsVisibility = ((domain1,domain2));
 SOGoLoginDomains = (domain1,domain1);

 (a) Since my users already login with full e-mail address as c_uid, I
 suppose SOGoEnableDomainBasedUID is not applicable in my case, right??

 (b) SOGoLoginDomains - this gives me a dropdownlist from the login page,
 but then I cannot just enter username (without the @domain), as
 authentication fails. Is this parameter expected to concat username and
 @domain selected from the dropdownlist, or where am I going wrong?

 (c) SOGoDomainsVisibility Parameter used to set domains visible among
 themselves. For what purpose is this visibility?

 When defining specific domains, can I use a shortname to introduce the
 domain, much like a placeholder, then define the full domain name in
 SOGoMailDomain, like below, or must I use FQDN everywhere?

 domains = {
   crownkenya = {
   SOGoMailDomain = crownkenya.com;

 .
