No, there is no such thing.

[SOGo] Please HELP - Big Problem

Hi!

Please help me! I update the Ubuntu 12.04 SOGo 2.0.7 to 2.1.1a,
and the SOGo is dead. Not logging to the web interface.

This is the error message:

ERROR(-[NGBundleManager bundleWithPath:]): could not create

How do I get the original 2.0.7 SOGo .deb and other
dependencies from your server?

Thank's your help!

[SOGo] Why not use Samba4 as LDAP?

2013-12-10 Thread Burk Al
Hi,

I am going through documentation and doing test setups (many) for a while
to be able to use Sogo's native outlook connection feature.

My problem is not mainly for the setup or configuration but to figure out
the best suitable underlying architecture.

The documentation says Samba4 is required for native outlook support, if an
ldap server or AD is in-place as a user directory the sync scripts are not
provided and also says Samba4 can act as an ldap server.

If I am starting from scratch, why would I bother with a separate ldap
server, since Samba4 is sort of an ldap server and a requirement anyway.
Right?
I guess not.

I have checked Sogo's ZEG and a separate ldap server is implemented.
I have also took a quick look at Zenytal Server 3.3, which includes sogo
and openchange in order to provide native outlook connection feature and
they have also implemented a separate ldap server as well.

Now I am wondering what could I have been missing? Why would I want to go
with an additional ldap server if Samba4 can act as one?

Thanks...

Did you follow upgrade guidelines and are you using /etc/sogo/sogo.conf? My
best guess is that you still use /home/sogo/… and did not create
/etc/sogo/sogo.conf and upgrading in Ubuntu might just have installed the
default example configuration file?

If so, see the documentation PDF at the end.

For normal use, using samba4 as the LDAP server for sogo should work just fine.
There is however a limitation in openchange/sogo design: all calls to it are
blocking, while the rest of samba is non-blocking.

This causes issues when debugging samba/openchange/sogo, since one must run
samba as a single process/thread (samba -i -M single).

LDAP requests made from the SOGo backend will always block while calling the
ldap server. However, since the process is running in a single thread and that
thread is blocked, the LDAP server will never get the request. Hence the process
will simply stall until a timeout is reached.

If you run SOGo with the samba4 ldap backend, you won't be able to run gdb
against it. This means that in case of a crash, it will be really hard to get a
meaningful stack trace, so we won't be able to help out as much.

Re: [SOGo] SOGo and managesieve

2013-12-10 Thread T.B.

Hi,

If you use Thunderbird you can use the Thunderbird Sieve Extension
https://addons.mozilla.org/de/thunderbird/addon/sieve/

At the moment it is not compatible with Thunderbird 24, just the beta
version 0.2.3d or later is, but it will automatically update to the
official version when it is released.

You can find it here:

https://github.com/thsmi/sieve/tree/master/nightly
https://github.com/thsmi/sieve/blob/master/nightly/0.2.3/sieve-0.2.3d.xpi?raw=true

Thunderbird Sieve Extension ( https://github.com/thsmi/sieve )

Thinderbird API needs to be finished before it can get officially released:
Thunderbird introduced numerous API changes which broke
Thunderbird's backward compatibility. So everything above Thunderbird
20 is incompatible with the addons 0.2.2 release.

Try the extensions most recent nightly build. You get it at
https://github.com/thsmi/sieve/tree/master/nightly .

There is one outstanding bug ( Issue 4) which needs to be fixed
before 0.2.3 will be accepted by Mozilla. The addon uses Thunderbirds
restartless api. But this api suffers from a design flaw. It does not
implement an asynchronous cleanup method. But such a method is needed
when dealing with protocols. Which makes a workaround difficult...

As there's no quick fix it's unlikely that 0.2.3 will be release
within the next month. So just stick with the nightly build. It should
update automatically to 0.2.3 upon release. I leave this bug open until
0.2.3 is released.

Hi Eduardo,
try restart Thunderbird a couple of times until you see
another/additional password prompt which has the checkbox where you can
save the password in the password manager list.

List is here but you can't edit it:
(Press ALT-Key - In menu bar: Extras - Settings - Security -
Passwords - Saved Passwords)

As my standard SOGo installation (without OwnClod) shows the same
behavior, I also am really interested if there is a better and reliable
option to save the SOGo password in Thunderbird.

[WARN] 0x0x7fd3c5a97260[WOWatchDogChild] pid 11323 has been hanging
in the same request for 3 minutes
[ERROR] 0x0x7fd3c5c57180[WOWatchDog] No child available to handle
incoming request!

in the web interface at check-in, but from SOGo in ThunderBird is
correct.
