Re: [SOGo] New Samba4/OpenChange/Sogo tutorial
Hi Steve, Yes we suggest to use iGestis to have a single point of user creation and management. It's not user friendly for everybody to use command lines or Microsoft tools to create users, especially in small company. Olivier. 2014-04-23 19:40 GMT+02:00 Steve Ankeny stev...@cinergymetro.net: From what I'm reading, Samba4 cannot link to an OpenLDAP directory server. I started with a ZEG several years ago and have upgraded judiciously since. It uses OpenLDAP, Cyrus, etc. with SOGo, and now that I've installed Samba4 (Inverse), I need to create user accounts. What is the suggested migration from OpenLDAP to Samba4 AD? I'm interested in being able to authenticate and change passwords at one point in the network. Right now, I have 2008 R2 accounts, LDAP/SOGo accounts, Linux accounts and soon Samba4 accounts. Is this why you suggest using iGestis? Re: [SOGo] enotify filter rule (added wishlist item)
Hi, it is always possible to use a different sieve client and not use the SOGo webinterface. However: it's not possible to mix. SOGo generates the sieve script from it's own data and uploads it thus destroys anything that was entered in any different interface. But as long as you're not touching the SOGo interface to sieve you're good. Wishlist item: it would be *very* nice if SOGo would support including external sieve scripts. Maybe even uploading them.. but you probably would create them with something capable of uploading scripts anyway so an option to include an other sieve script that's there would do. Or an option to the webinterface not to touch the sieve scripts of a user and thus avoid killing a custom sieve script. thanks, rupi -- Rainer Ruprechtsberger Volkshilfe Oberösterreich EDV 4020 Linz, Glimpfingerstrasse 48 Tel.: +43 732 3405 123 Mobil.: +43 676 8734 1123 ZVR Zahl: 064371505 Volkshilfe.
