AW: [SOGo] ZEG ActiveSync

2016-06-08 Thread "Thomas Fuehrer"
Peter,

specify just the server address for the Mail Server and make sure that you can
access the ZEG via https.

Outlook 13 requires a SSL connection when using EAS.

Regards,

Thomas

Thomas,

Tried that ... same message. It appears not to be wrong login information as
much as I am not able to find/connect to server. Once again unsuccessful.
Anyone have any other ideas? Thanks in advance.

John, thanks for the idea. Confirming that I am using the same VB 5.0.20.

I updated/upgraded Ubuntu and when I entered Host example.com, I got 10.0.2.15
so it appears to be working (I think. Still very near beginning of Linus
learning curve so I could have completely misunderstood).

Didn’t resolve Active Sync issue.

I ask because I recently ran it up in VirtualBox 5.0.20 (Windows 10 Host) and

failed. I had to reinstall resolvconf.
Did you update Ubuntu?
Thanks

I want to test sogo (via ZEG) for my home groupware (shared calendars and
contacts among laptop and desktop Outlook 2013 and iPhones and iPads). If it
works like I hope it does, I plan to do a full server build (still within a vm)
as well as help a couple nonprofit organizations in town to do the same. With
ZEG I have had partial success with Outlook using OpenChange interface
(calendar worked great but I could not get contacts to sync correctly) and
Apple using CalDav and CardDav (both worked but single ActiveSync connection
seems simpler). Since Outlook 2013 and Apple products support ActiveSync, I
decided to try that connection. In Outlook 2013, I get the message:
"Log onto Exchange ActiveSync mail server (EAS): The server cannot be found."
On iPad, "Unable to verify account information." Both with same result: I can't
connect to EAS.

Here are the inputs I am using from ZEG:
3.1.0 vm published late last month running in Oracle VirtualBox on WIN7 machine.
User Name/email: so...@example.com
PW: sogo
Mail server: http://192.168.0.53/Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync
VM is set with bridge network.

As I missing some basic input or configuration step? Several people say ZEG
works for them so I know it must be something I am or am not doing. Thanks.

Regards,

Hello Jan,

I've begun work on looking at what it'd take to get SOGo working great
on virtualmin virtual servers.
I suppose you want SOGo to take over and run as the web mail groupware
for the entire virtualmin machine? Which would make sense, as users
continue to have access through their mail client apps eg thunderbird
via smtp and imap.
Obviously you should disable pop3 in virtualmin as pop3 defaults to
remove mail from the server, which defeats the entire purpose of webmail
groupware which is to leave the mail on the server for others to read,
comment on, and reply to etc.

The trick obviously is to have a virutalmin module configure settings
which achieve automatic seamless configuration while respecting the
multi tenant nature of virtualmin, so that users can...

1. autocomplete from the LDAP directories present on their virtual server,
2. share calendars as specified by admins of their virtual server,
3. share contacts as specified by admins and users,
4. share inboxes as specified by admins,
5. bar users from seeing outside their virtual server (other virtual
server LDAP directories, calendars, contacts, etc).

Feel free also to share your experiences

I think our change request targets something else: we require a _fixed_
footer/header that the user does not changed (as also described in the
offer). Christian (Reischl from Fraunhofer institute, to many Christians
around here) wants a template provided for the user's message, which he
is able to change anyway.

Hi Francis,
that did the trick: a very persistent caching issue on my client :(
This can be avoided by using a unique script name for each release: not sure if
this would cause other issues or problems :)

Thanks for helping me out!

[SOGo] Preferences in V2 and V3

2016-06-08 Thread Christian Naumer
Hello,
we are using SOGo v2 and v3 in parallel using the same DB as backend. I noticed
that some
preferences do not show up in v3 if set in v2. For example the "DelegateFrom"
and "DelegateTo"
options. How does each version know which part to pull from the DB? And
specifically for these
parameters I would expect that setting it in one version is enough.

Also we found that delegation is not working for us in V3. I filed a bug report
for this (https://so
go.nu/bugs/view.php?id=3720). Does anyone also see this?

Regards

Christian
