[SOGo] ldap addressbooks with filter based on dynamic ldap group

2016-11-04 Thread "sg gs"
hello,

all our active users (besides others) are members of group:  cn=enterpriseusers,dc=groups,o=example.

to restrict access to these memberes i added filters

(&(uid=%u)(memberof=cn=enterpriseusers,dc=groups,o=example))

to dovecot and postfix. these filters work perfect for dovecot and postfix (and other systems outside of sogos's scope).

now i would like to add equivalent filters to sogo's login users and the global addresslist. so i tried to add the line

filter = "(memberof=cn=enterpriseusers,dc=groups,o=example)";

to sogo's login-users configuration. the result was, that it was no longer possible to log in for any user. so i removed the fiter and added it to the definition of the global addresslist. the effekt was, that it was no longer possible to search in the gal - no matter, what i typed into the search field , always all members of the gal were displayed.

after modification of the filter to something like

filter = "account-type = enterprise-user"; (which defines a subset of the above list)

only matching users were displayed in the gal and seraching worked fine.

what can i do implement the dovecot and postfix restrictions into sogo's login configuration and address list?

regards, sg

[SOGo] Web Interface: mark multiple messages as read

2016-11-04 Thread Andreas
Hi,

Within the web interface I have the option to select multiple messages
and mark them as unread. Besides, I would love the option to also mark
them as read. Is this a missing feature? Or am I missing anything?

Thanks,

Andreas

RE: [SOGo] Sogo change "from address" from GUI

2016-11-04 Thread "Raido Rinaldi"
Hello,

Can I upgrade directly to version 3 or do I need to upgrade to 2.3 at first
and then to ver. 3? I am asking because in upgrade guide there is
instructions for running script after upgrading to 2.3 Run the shell script
sql-update-2.2.17_to_2.3.0.sh or sql-update-2.2.17_to_2.3.0-mysql.sh (if you
use MySQL).

It depends:-)

If you just want to use an email address, which the user has not in his
account, then you need only a version, which supports changing it.
We have used this with earlier versions than 2.3.17 (sorry, don't
remember, when exactly we enabled it).
Only if you want to be able to set one of the email addresses of the
user too, then you need 2.3.17.

On the V3 demo site from Inverse this function is not available.
Not sure, if it is not implemented or just disabled though.
I did not yet test this function in V3 myself.

BTW:
Since SOGo 2.0.5 you should have switched to using sogo.conf instead of
GNUstepDefaults.
I once had problems with another setting before changing this.
Especially using sogo-tool will not work without sogo.conf.
Therefore you should switching first.
A HowTo is included in the documentation in chapter "10. Upgrading".
If you still can not change this setting, then upgrade.

Kind regards,
Christian Mack

PS:
I would upgrade anyway, as 2.3.17 provides a lot of additional functions
and fixes a lot of bugs.

RE: [SOGo] Sogo change "from address" from GUI

2016-11-04 Thread "Raido Rinaldi"
Hello,

The key in sogo config SOGoMailCustomFromEnabled has been in my
config since I started using SOGO (few years ago). I have restarted my
server multiple times, but still can not edit email address from
preferences. So I think restarting sogod and memcached have no effect in
here.

I am not sure, 2.2.13 already had that functionality or not.
But the field always looks greyed out.
Can you edit the field after restarting sogod and memcached?

There was a fix recently, which prevented setting email addresses which
belonged to the user already.
This will be part of the next version if I remember correctly.

Hello,

So to get this feature, I have to upgrade sogo to at least 2.3.17 version?
Is this fix included in sogo v3?
