I think it's used by Ical when moving an appoinment from one calendar to
another calendar.

When Thunderbird does this, it does not use MOVE.

Please tell if you know more.

Paul.

Groups must have a valid email address, then they work in SOGo for
access privileges too.

Beware that changing a group membership doesn't change the already given
privileges.
The owners of calendars and address books shared based on groups have to
apply those regularly, in order to update the privileges.

Just for the record, if anyone suffers this, this was the one to blame:

# apache security config
Header edit Set-Cookie ^(.*)$ $1;HttpOnly;Secure

Best.

[SOGo] Ical and MOVE

2016-11-09 Thread Paul van der Vlis
Hello,

Sometimes I see problems with users using Apple Ical and sogo 2.2.9 from
Debian stable. New created appointments are gone then.

In the logs I see this:
[07/Nov/2016:22:58:13 GMT] "MOVE
/SOGo/dav/hans/Calendar/227A-501D7500-9-6BEF3500/A235338E-F830-4B10-94E9-BF2379995CE6.ics
HTTP/1.1" 201 0/0 0.019 - - 0

Has somebody else seen this too?

When do I get a MOVE in my logs?

With regards,
Paul van der Vlis.

[SOGo] 2nd account doesn't sync, always 0 byte data

2016-11-09 Thread Tamer Higazi

Hi people,
I have created 2 accounts and therefor have by default 2 calenders.
The 1st account I created, I can sync without any problems, add
contacts, delete contacts. Everything fine and great.

The moment I create a second account, and I want via SyncML create
contacts, It's always 0-byte.
I try to move Data from one account's address book to the other one, it
stays and remanins empty.

What have I done wrong, or is it a bug that needs to be closed ?

best, Tamer

[SOGo] [SOGO] read-only shared address book and sync.

2016-11-09 Thread Olivier BURAIS

Hi,

I've been struggling to resolve an issue with address books shared as
read-only in SOGo accessed through Thunderbird (with
connector). When a user tries to modify an existing list of
contacts or a contact in the read-only address book (despite warning him
not to do so...), it breaks the sync of that list.

As per the comments on
https://sogo.nu/bugs/print_bug_page.php?bug_id=2714, I've come to
realise when getting a 403 result on uploading a vcf/vlf to SOGo, the
card is kept as it is, and the change is not dropped. It'll keep trying
to sync the change despite not being allowed to. There is indeed a
notification that the sync failed in the bottom right corner, but not
why nor on what contact/list it failed. (the user is not able to know
how to drop the change, and the only way to correct it is to unsubscribe
from the address book)

The result is that the contact or list of contacts is not synced anymore
(and that's an issue for a shared address read-only book that is
expected to be up to date).
Is there a way to make the address book truly read-only on the
Thunderbird side, either by forbidding changes in the address book, or
by dropping them in case of a sync error (instead of retrying those) ?

Best regards,

*Olivier BURAIS*

Re: [SOGo] ldap addressbooks with filter based on dynamic ldap group

2016-11-09 Thread "sg gs"

thanks francis for the info.

we have plenty of ldap groups ( type = GroupOfUniqueNames ). all these groups do show up in the addressbook but none of does show up in the searchresult list when i try to add a user in the access rights dialog - neither for a calendar nor for an addressbook. so i guess something is configured wrong/uncomplete.

i guess that i missed something. what are the prerequisites for a group to show up?

thanks in advance, sg

This is already supported for LDAP sources. We handle object class of type group, groupofnames, groupofuniquenames, and posixgroup.
