[SOGo] ZEG "demo" compatible to Outlook 2016?

2017-04-04 Thread thegenera...@gmx.de
Hi there!

I have downloaded ZEG-3.2.7.ova and ran it (Out of the box. No changes to the
image at all!) inside a VirtualBox on a Windows 10 host.

The mail-server and the calendar work just fine with „Mail for Windows 10“.

„Outlook 2016“ however refuses to connect to the server.
I use the same credentials as for „Mail for Windows 10“ and the same hostname
(example.com).
Outlook 2016 then attempts to connect to the Server, asks, if I really want to
continue without encryption and some time later tells me, that it could not
find any Exchange Server.
After that, it lets me enter some very limited information manually. Nowhere
near as many options as described in the SOGo documentation (which seems to be
for Outlook 2013), and everything I try ends in the same result -> no Exchange
Server found.

I have noticed, that the documentation heavily mentions Outlook 2013 and only
rarely Outlook 2016.
https://sogo.nu/files/docs/SOGoNativeOutlookConfigurationGuide.html
So my questions are:

- Is SOGo really compatible to Outlook 2016?
- If yes, is it supposed to work out of the box with the ZEG image?
- If not, how can I get the ZEG image to work with Outlook 2016 or vice versa?

I am very interested in the SOGo-Project, and what I have seen so far looks
very promising.
Sadly (and unwillingly) I absolutely need Outlook 2016 compatibility, but
haven’t found any fruitful documentation yet.
It would be much appreciated if someone of you can point me in the right
direction what needs to be done to get Outlook 2016 to auto discover SoGo.

Cheers,
Murphy

Re: [SOGo] Integrate SOGo with a OTP Solution

Hi,

FYI: you could try keycloak as an SAML IdP, as it has support for FreeOTP.

Re: [SOGo] Integrate SOGo with a OTP Solution

2017-04-04 Thread Christoph Kreutzer
Hello,

I am (mostly) successfully using the SAML authentication with SOGo. You can
read about my experiences on the mailing ist ;-)

I also don’t know LinOTP, but would recommend privacyID3A
(https://www.privacyidea.org/ ) and SimpleSAMLphp
(https://simplesamlphp.org/ ) in combination as
SAML IdP (Identity Provider). PrivacyID3A is under constant development and
allows very flexible usage scenarios.

The simpler option would be SimpleSAMLphp alone with something like this:
https://github.com/NIIF/simplesamlphp-module-authtfaga
 (I currently use a
forked version of it, but I’m in the process of migrating to privacyID3A). Or
you can use every other IdP, like the Shibboleth IdP (but more complex to
setup) or Keycloak (used by some other people out there I know).

Best regards,
Christoph

Which SOGo version are you using?
They normally are persistent.
Do you get an error message in sogo.log when changing the calendar colour?

I do not know linotp myself.
But I think you can use SAML2 authentication for it with SOGo.

Hope that gives a hint in the right direction.
