I understand that Microsoft rolled out an update to EAS recently that
provides access to Shared Calendars and Contacts, but I guess SOGo will
have to be modified to take advantage of this capability?

[SOGo] Calendar Reminders

2017-10-27 Thread Jay Lepore

Hello and Thank You for your software.  I am grateful.

My problem has to do with Calendar Reminders.

My clients often come from a Google Calendar environment where reminders
are available via Email and SMS.  So far I have found neither of these
abilities in SOGo.

In todays business environment these are critical requirements.

Am I missing something?  Does this feature exist somewhere?

I have also used Thunderbird Lightning with SOGo connector but this does
not improve this ability.

I'm afraid I will not be able to sway people in the direction of SOGo
Calendar without these features or at least the email reminder portion.

What sayeth the group ?

Sincerely,

Jay Lepore

[SOGo] SOGO 3.2.x and LDAP Password Policy

2017-10-27 Thread Michal
Hello,Sorry for my bad english.I have a problem with password policy with LDAP
(both openldap and 389-ds) on SOGo 3.2.10.When I loggen in, I can change
password, password policy works fine. I have information when password is weak
or short or when password is in history.Problem is when password is expired. I
have no notification when password is expired(example: Your password expires in
10 minutes) at login page, or the password is expired.I have message (when
password is expired) - RETRY,(when password expired) - UNHANDLED ERROR
RESPONSE.When I change user password in LDAP, i may login to Sogo. With SOGo
2.3.23 the problem doesn't exist. I have all notification. What is wrong with
SOGo 3.2.10? What LDAP passoword policy attributes is required to work?

Did you try this option :

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/3189194/how-to-disable-simplified-account-creation-in-outlook-2016

It was posted earlier this month on the list, i guess it could help to get the account properly configured.

hi,

as far as i know, there is no way to do this kind of configuration as there is no mapi interface to sogo. there was a project which tried to implement such an interface (openchange with a special samba version), but this project is abandoned (not to say it's dead).

you could use active sysnc (eas) which only has kind of liminted functionality due to it's specification or you could give https://sourceforge.net/projects/outlookcaldavsynchronizer/ a try. this seems to be a fairly complete implementation but it's kind of end-user-unfriendly (not very suitable for technically unexperienced users).

i'm sad to say that the lack of an easy to configure and easy to use outlook interface lead to the rejection of sogo to the advantage of ms-exchange not only at our site.

Dear SOGo,

we got some problems to configure SOGo for MS Outlook 2016 as an Exchange-Service.
And we didn't find something to get it working.

Is it possible to use Outlook 2016 in the community edition, or is it only available in the commercial version?
If it's only possible we're planning to contribute in commercial version.

Mit freundlichen Grüßen / Best regards
